NFL Week 7 Fantasy Football
Tips
This is our waiver wire pick-ups column. The
WagerOnFootball.com staff will scour the free
agent pools in fantasy land for the best available
talent every week. Availability, of course,
depends on the league. We’re using 12
team, 15 roster spot leagues as the median,
but we’ll look for roster candidates for
leagues of all shapes and sizes. Grab the following
before NFL Week 7.

WEEK 7 FANTASY FOOTBALL WAIVER WIRE |
1. Matt Leinart |
Waiver
Wire - QUARTERBACKS
Leinart did
everything he could do to get the win,
but the Cardinals special teams did the
offense no favors and the Bears defense
had a pair of touchdowns on fumble recoveries.
He'll look to bounce back in Week 7 at
Oakland. |
|
Waiver
Wire - QB'S
Kitna has played surprisngly well in
2006, but he has six touchdown passes
and seven interceptions. He has been up-and-down,
but when the matchup presents itself you
should take advantage by playing Kitna. |
|
Waiver
Wire - QB's
Big Ben and the Steelers play at Atlanta
in Week 7, another interesting matchup
that should be good for Roethlisberger.
Consider him a quality No. 2 QB in the
coming week, and perhaps a solid bye-week
replacement as well. |
|
Waiver
Wire - QB's
This was the breakout party his Fantasy
owners were waiting for. He's put together
back-to-back solid games and is ready
to take the next step to Fantasy stardom.
Consider him a nice start in 12-team leagues
for Week 7 at Kansas City. |
1. Samkon Gado
|
Waiver
Wire - RUNNING BACKS
The Texans have struggled to run the
ball this year, and Gado is the No. 2
RB. Keep him reserved for Week 7 against
Jacksonville as long as he remains the
backup. |
2. Chris Perry
|
Waiver
Wire - RB's
When Perry returns to the lineup, he will
be a good Fantasy insurance player for
Rudi Johnson owners. In the event Johnson
gets injured, Perry would be the guy most
likely to fill in. He does have some value
as a third-down back but only in the deepest
of leagues. |
|
Waiver
Wire - RB's
Davenport may be worth owning as insurance
for Willie Parker. Otherwise, consider him
waiver-wire fodder for the upcoming weeks.
When active, he's a good bruising runner
(almost like a Jerome Bettis). |
|
Waiver
Wire - WIDE RECEIVERS
In a game in which the Chargers put up 48
points, Parker was one of few who didn't
score. Still, he was the team's leading
receiver and should be considered a nice
No. 3 WR option for Week 7 at Kansas City. |
|
Waiver
Wire - WR's
Clayton has been a huge disappointment up
until now, but don't expect him to keep
on the comeback trail. The Bucs play vs.
Philadelphia in Week 7; don't expect a big
game from Clayton then. |
|
Waiver
Wire - WR's
Chiefs WR Samie Parker led the team in receiving
yards at Pittsburgh in Week 6, catching
five passes for 72 yards. It's his best
game since December of 2005. |
|
Waiver
Wire - TIGHT ENDS
Stevens was believed to receive around
30 plays on offense this week but he was
a pre game scratch. He'll be in the lineup
this week. We think??
|
1. Arizona Cardinals |
Waiver
Wire - DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS
The Cardinals allowed just 168 total net
yards while racking up two sacks, four
interceptions and two fumble recoveries.
Unfortunately, the three touchdowns by
the Bears DST counts against Fantasy owners
using the Cardinals DST. They played very
well and are a decent bye-week replacement
for Week 7 at Oakland.
