NFL Week 11 Fantasy Football
Tips
This is our waiver wire pick-ups column. The
WagerOnFootball.com staff will scour the free
agent pools in fantasy land for the best available
talent every week. Availability, of course,
depends on the league. We’re using 12
team, 15 roster spot leagues as the median,
but we’ll look for roster candidates for
leagues of all shapes and sizes. Grab the following
before NFL Week 11.

WEEK 11 FANTASY FOOTBALL WAIVER WIRE |
1. Jason Campbell |
Waiver
Wire - QUARTERBACKS
With RB Clinton
Portis (broken hand) expected to miss
about a month, it appears the Redskins
are looking ahead to the future with Campbell.
He might be worth adding in case he does
well or in keeper leagues, but don't plan
on using him for Week 11 against the Bucs. |
|
Waiver
Wire - QB'S
More than two months after he was knocked
unconscious in Kansas City's season opener,
quarterback Trent Green was given medical
clearance to play again. The Chiefs said
late Tuesday the two-time Pro Bowl selection
was given the go-ahead by doctors earlier
in the day.
|
|
Waiver
Wire - QB's
Titans QB Vince Young completed 52 percent
of his passes (13-for-25) against the
Ravens, which equaled his highest completion
percentage in a game he has started. Young
is getting better as the season goes on,
but he is too inconsistent as a Fantasy
QB. Continue to hold onto him for keeper
leagues. |
|
Waiver
Wire - RUNNING BACKS
According to published reports, Willis
McGahee (broken ribs) will miss Week 11
at Houston and he might also be sidelined
for another game or two after that. That
clears the way for Thomas to get at least
one more start. |
2. Ladell Betts
|
Waiver
Wire - RB's
Clinton Portis will have shoulder surgery
and is headed for injury reserve, ending
his season. Ladell Betts will take over
as the starting running back for the remainder
of the season. Betts is worth adding in
all Fantasy leagues as a No. 2 or 3 running
back or 'flex' option in Week 11 at Tampa
Bay. |
3. Samkon Gado
|
Waiver
Wire - RB's
Texans RB Samkon Gado got 17 carries in
Week 10 at Jacksonville. He finished with
67 yards and also caught a pass for six
yards. Lundy should remain the starter,
but we smell a running back by committee
forming. |
|
Waiver
Wire - RB's
Damien Nash managed four carries for 14
yards in Week 10 at Oakland, as he saw more
action with Mike Bell declared inactive.
Nash certainly did not do anything to warrant
any further playing time. He is not a recommended
Fantasy option for Week 11 against San Diego,
but if you have room on your bench you just
never know what Shanahan will do with running
backs. |
|
Waiver
Wire - WIDE RECEIVERS
Ravens WR Mark Clayton caught seven passes
for 125 yards and a touchdown in a Week
10 win over the Titans. He caught a 65-yard
touchdown pass in the first quarter. Clayton
now has 14 receptions for 198 yards in the
last two games. |
|
Waiver
Wire - WR's
Dallas WR Patrick Crayton had five catches
for 104 yards and a touchdown against Arizona.
Crayton did well with Terry Glenn (knee)
out and should be considered a good No.
3 WR against Indianapolis next week. If
Glenn remains out, consider Crayton a No.
2 option. |
|
Waiver
Wire - WR's
Saints WR Terrance Copper caught six passes
for 92 yards and a touchdown at Pittsburgh
in Week 10. Copper started in place of Joe
Horn. Copper also had a fumble that cost
the Saints the game. Copper may have earned
himself more playing time after this game.
It wouldn't hurt to take a flier on him. |
|
Waiver
Wire - TIGHT ENDS
Desmond Clark had just one reception for
two yards in Week 10 at N.Y. Giants, but
it was good for a touchdown. Clark is
a decent low-end Fantasy TE worth starting
at the Jets in Week 11.
|
1. Dolphins Defense/ST
|
Waiver
Wire - DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS
The Dolphins DST held the Chiefs to 10
points and got three sacks. Consider the
Dolphins and their IDP players a good
start in Week 11 against Minnesota, which
is a struggling offense right now.
