NFL Week 12 Fantasy Football
Tips
This is our waiver wire pick-ups column. The
WagerOnFootball.com staff will scour the free
agent pools in fantasy land for the best available
talent every week. Availability, of course,
depends on the league. We’re using 12
team, 15 roster spot leagues as the median,
but we’ll look for roster candidates for
leagues of all shapes and sizes. Grab the following
before NFL Week 12.

WEEK 12 FANTASY FOOTBALL WAIVER WIRE |
1. Jason Campbell |
Waiver
Wire - QUARTERBACKS
Redskins
QB Jason Campbell had a decent debut at
Tampa Bay in Week 11, completing 19-of-34
passes for 196 yards and two TDs. Campbell
is worth a flier as a third QB in Fantasy
play. He should not start under any circumstances
vs. Carolina in Week 12. |
|
Waiver
Wire - QB'S
Eagles QB Jeff Garcia came on for an
injured Donovan McNabb in the second quarter
against the Titans and finished the game
26-of-48 passing for 189 yards and a touchdown.
He also had three carries for 1 yard and
lost a fumble. Check the news out of Phili
to see if he or A.J. Feeley gets the starting
nod in week 12.
|
|
Waiver
Wire - QB's
Raiders QB Aaron Brooks, starting for
the first time since Week 3, threw an
interception late in the fourth quarter
as the Raiders were driving for the game-winning
score against the Chiefs. Keep an eye
on his play just in case you need a No.
2 QB down the stretch. |
|
Waiver
Wire - RUNNING BACKS
Panthers RB DeAngelo Williams rushed 20
times for 114 yards in Week 11 vs. St.
Louis. He saw the majority of the carries
after starter DeShaun Foster had to leave
the game with an elbow injury in the second
quarter. He also added two catches for
24 yards. |
2. Damien Nash |
Waiver
Wire - RB's
Denver RB Damien Nash had 10 carries
for 52 yards against San Diego. He also
got three catches for 36 yards. Nash got
an opportunity to run with Tatum Bell
inactive due to his toe injury. Tatum
Bell and Mike Bell are both on the Injury
report vs Kansas City. |
3. Jason Wright |
Waiver
Wire - RB's
Browns RB Jason Wright, starting for Reuben
Droughns, had 74 rush yards and a 6-yard
catch vs. Pittsburgh in Week 11. He may
or may not start again in Week 12, so
keep tabs on Droughns' status. If he does
play vs. Cincinnati, he's at best a desperation
No. 3 Fantasy RB. |
|
Waiver
Wire - RB's
Fargas did an admirable job (52 yards on
19 carries) for the injured LaMont Jordan
in Week 12 and should be the back that gets
the bulk of carries from here on out. Consider
Fargas at best a No. 3 RB for Week 12 at
San Diego. |
|
Waiver
Wire - RB's
Lions RB Arlen Harris took over at running
back for Kevin Jones, when he went down
with an ankle injury in Week 11 against
the Cardinals. Harris carried the ball 10
times for 40 yards and one touchdown in
a losing effort. |
|
Waiver
Wire - WIDE RECEIVERS
The 54-yard touchdown hookup from QB Tom
Brady to WR Reche Caldwell in the second
quarter against Green Bay was the team's
longest play from scrimmage this season.
Caldwell has emerged as one of the team's
most consistent receivers in the last two
weeks. |
|
Waiver
Wire - WR's
Dolphins WR Marty Booker had six catches
for 84 yards against Minnesota. Consider
Booker a low-end No. 2 WR for Week 12 against
the Lions on Thanksgiving Day, as he's getting
as many looks from Harrington as Chambers
is on the other side. |
|
Waiver
Wire - WR's
Bradley is one to watch while Bernard
Berrian is sidelined (and maybe even when
Berrian comes back). While Bradley shouldn't
start in any Fantasy leagues, he is worth
owning to provide depth at WR in Fantasy
play. The Bears play at New England in
Week 12.
|
1. Colts Defense/ST
|
Waiver
Wire - TIGHT ENDS
The Colts defense has struggled without
Sanders in the lineup and also miss Brackett's
presence at LB. However, consider them
a one-week sleeper DST in Week 12 as they
face a Eagles offense adjusting to life
under QB Jeff Garcia.
|
1. 49ers Defense/ST |
Waiver
Wire - DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS
The 49ers DST had three interceptions
against Seattle, with two fumble recoveries
and two sacks. Consider the 49ers DST
a good sleeper against the struggling
Rams offense in Week 12.
