NFL Week 14 Fantasy Football
Tips
This is our waiver wire pick-ups column. The
WagerOnFootball.com staff will scour the free
agent pools in fantasy land for the best available
talent every week. Availability, of course,
depends on the league. We’re using 12
team, 15 roster spot leagues as the median,
but we’ll look for roster candidates for
leagues of all shapes and sizes. Grab the following
before NFL Week 14.

WEEK 14 FANTASY FOOTBALL WAIVER WIRE |
1. Vince Young
|
Waiver
Wire - QUARTERBACKS
Young rides
his hot streak right into Houston in Week
14, his hometown. Expect big numbers from
the red-hot Young against the Texans in
that game. You may be able to consider
him a No. 1 Fantasy QB. |
|
Waiver
Wire - QB'S
Cutler struggled for most of the night
and had one of his interceptions returned
for a touchdown by LB Darryl Tapp. He
is the man in Denver and is a low-end
No. 2 Fantasy quarterback for Week 14
at San Diego.
|
|
Waiver
Wire - QB's
If Garcia gets the Eagles to the playoffs,
he could also rejuvenate his career. Garcia
is currently playing out a one-year deal
signed in the offseason. With a good performance
down the stretch, he could earn a shot
at a starting job somewhere else next
year or persuade the Eagles to bring him
back as insurance in case McNabb suffers
a setback during his recovery. |
|
Waiver
Wire - RUNNING BACKS
Rookie DeAngelo Williams got the start
in place of DeShaun Foster (elbow) in
Week 13 at Philadelphia. He made the most
of his opportunity, running for 74 yards
on 17 carries and going for 101 yards
on seven receptions with a touchdown. |
2. Jerious Norwood |
Waiver
Wire - RB's
Norwood could have a major impact over
the final month of the season. Dunn is
31 and admits to being slowed by groin
and ankle problems. Also, he's only 180
pounds and could be wearing down after
the pounding of a long season. |
3. Cedric Houston |
Waiver
Wire - RB's
The numbers don't lie: Cedric Houston
has put up the best numbers between him,
Leon Washington and Kevan Barlow over
the last three weeks. Consider Houston
a No. 3 Fantasy RB vs. Buffalo in Week
14 |
|
Waiver
Wire - RB's
After doing nothing for weeks, Dayne was
the leading rusher for the Texans. Keep
an eye on the situation prior to Week 14
against Tennessee, but Dayne might be worth
adding now. |
|
Waiver
Wire - RB's
Continue to monitor Chester Taylor's status
prior to Week 14 against the Lions. If he's
able to play, expect a solid outing against
the Lions. If Taylor is unable to go, consider
Fason a low-end No. 2 RB, and Moore a No.
3 option. |
|
Waiver
Wire - WIDE RECEIVERS
Booker has three touchdowns in his past
two games and could be worth adding for
the Fantasy playoffs. Consider him a No.
3 WR for Week 14 against New England. |
|
Waiver
Wire - WR's
Jaguars WR Matt Jones had six catches for
128 yards and a touchdown against Miami.
He also lost a fumble, but it was Jones'
best game of the season. Consider Jones
a No. 2 WR for Week 14 against the Colts
|
|
Waiver
Wire - WR's
Washington might be a decent No. 4 Fantasy
receiver or 'flex' option for Week 14
against the Browns depending on the status
of Hines Ward (knee) and Cedrick Wilson
(ankle).
|
1. Heath Miller |
Waiver
Wire - TIGHT ENDS
Heath Miller had two receptions for 27
yards and a touchdown in Week 13 against
the Buccaneers. Miller is a decent low-end
Fantasy starter for Week 14 against Cleveland.
He had 30 receiving yards in the first
meeting in Week 11.
|
1. Bengals Defense/ST |
Waiver
Wire - DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS
The Bengals had a seven-quarter scoreless
streak going until losing the shutout
late in the fourth. They'll look to
continue their strong defense in Week
14 against the Raiders.
