NFL Week 15 Fantasy Football
Tips
This is our waiver wire pick-ups column. The
WagerOnFootball.com staff will scour the free
agent pools in fantasy land for the best available
talent every week. Availability, of course,
depends on the league. We’re using 12
team, 15 roster spot leagues as the median,
but we’ll look for roster candidates for
leagues of all shapes and sizes. Grab the following
before NFL Week 15.

WEEK 15 FANTASY FOOTBALL WAIVER WIRE |
1. Jeff Garcia
|
Waiver
Wire - QUARTERBACKS
Garcia had
a great Fantasy week in his first start
of the season against Carolina, but wass
just serviceable in Week 14 at Washington.
In such a pass-heavy offense, though,
Garcia is well worth a a start in leagues
of 12-plus teams for Week 15 at New York. |
|
Waiver
Wire - QB'S
McNair threw five TDs and seven INTs
before Jim Fassel was fired. He has thrown
eight scores and two picks since. McNair
will look to continue the good times in
Week 15 against the Browns. Consider him
a low-end No. 1 Fantasy QB.
|
|
Waiver
Wire - RUNNING BACKS
Dayne put up a good effort against the
Titans and should retain the starting
job going into Week 15 at New England.
Consider him a low-end No. 3 Fantasy RB
for the game. |
|
Waiver
Wire - RB's
On Tuesday, the Lions placed RB Kevin
Jones on Injured Reserve with what is
believed to be a Lisfranc injury, or the
breaking of the mid-foot. He will not
play again in 2006. Arlen Harris and Aveion
Cason are expected to take over for him,
with Harris the likely starting RB. |
3. Artose Pinner |
Waiver
Wire - RB's
Vikings coach Brad Childress said Monday
that the team will check out RB Chester
Taylor (ribs) and see how much pain he
can tolerate on Wednesday in practice
before determining what his status will
be for Week 15 vs. the Jets. Pinner would
be considered a No. 3 Fantasy RB for the
game. |
4. Sammy Morris |
Waiver
Wire - RB's
Morris is a nice No. 2 Fantasy RB option
based on his projected workload and matchup.
Fantasy owners should continue to rest
Brown until he returns to action, which
may or may not even be this season since
Morris is doing so well for the Fins. |
|
Waiver
Wire - RB's
If Dunn and Norwood are unable to go, the
Falcons will have to depend on fullback
Justin Griffith, who came on for the injured
backs and finished with 12 carries for 57
yards and a touchdown, the first rushing
touchdown of his five-year career. Keep
an eye on Dunn and Norwood's status, but
pick Griffith up if you have no other options. |
|
Waiver
Wire - RB's
Raiders RB Justin Fargas had 13 carries
for 37 yards in a Week 14 loss to the Bengals.
He also had two catches for two yards. Fargas
remains at-best a No. 3 Fantasy RB heading
into Week 15 against the Rams. |
|
Waiver
Wire - WIDE RECEIVERS
Dolphins WR Marty Booker had eight catches
for 103 yards and a touchdown against New
England. Booker now has four touchdowns
in his past three games and should be considered
a low-end No. 2 WR for Week 15 against Buffalo. |
|
Waiver
Wire - WR's
Curry responded with 99 receiving yards
and a touchdown with the increased playing
time. He is considered a No. 4 Fantasy receiver
or 'flex' option whether or not Moss is
able to suit up. |
|
Waiver
Wire - WR's
Burleson had just one reception, a five-yard
touchdown catch, in Week 14 at Arizona.
WIth Darrell Jackson out he will likely
see a lot more balls thrown his way and
he should be a decent No. 3 or 4 Fantasy
receiver or 'flex' option for Thursday.
Check out who starts after Branch, as
Engram, and Hackett are also in the mix
for playing time.
|
1. Vernon Davis |
Waiver
Wire - TIGHT ENDS
Here he comes. Davis rumbled for a 52-yard
score, breaking tackles and generally
caused havoc in the Packers defense. One
35-yard gain was overturned by a penalty
and he was open for a score another time,
but Alex Smith underthrew him. Davis is
very rough around the edges, but he's
a monster once he has the ball. Pick him
up and play him Thursday against Seattle.
|
1. Bills Defense/ST |
Waiver
Wire - DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS
The Buffalo Bills DST allowed 13 points
and 277 total net yards in Week 14 at
N.Y. Jets. They also had three sacks
and one fumble recovery. They also got
a touchdown from Nate Clements on a
58-yard interception return. The Bills
are a sneaky play this week at home
against the Dolphins.
