NFL Week 10 Fantasy Football
Tips
This is our waiver wire pick-ups column. The
WagerOnFootball.com staff will scour the free
agent pools in fantasy land for the best available
talent every week. Availability, of course,
depends on the league. We’re using 12
team, 15 roster spot leagues as the median,
but we’ll look for roster candidates for
leagues of all shapes and sizes. Grab the following
before NFL Week 10.

WEEK 10 FANTASY FOOTBALL WAIVER WIRE |
1. Seneca Wallace |
Waiver
Wire - QUARTERBACKS
Nothing really
new here, so we have to re-recommend the
QB's we suggested last week to you in
this column. Seattle coach Mike Holmgren
said Tuesday that QB Matt Hasselbeck (knee)
is unlikely to play vs. St. Louis in Week
10. Wallace will make his third start
in Hasselbeck's absence, and isa No. 2
QB option in Fantasy play for Week 10. |
|
Waiver
Wire - QB'S
Garrard proved he can be a serviceable
backup Fantasy QB with three touchdowns
in Week 9 against Tennessee. Consider
him a good sleeper for Week 10 against
Houston. As for Leftwich, keep him reserved
in all leagues.
|
|
Waiver
Wire - QB's
Last week Plummer completed 29-of-48 passes
for 401 yards, four tds, no picks and
a 115.0 quarterback rating. If Plummer
keeps this up he might be worth using
again in FF. The Broncos face the No.
1 pass defense in Oakland in Week 10,
so keep Plummer reserved unless you are
ready to play him. |
|
Waiver
Wire - RUNNING BACKS
Thomas rushed 20 times for 95 yards and
a score vs. Green Bay in Week 9 with a
6-yard catch. He's a bruising running
back who won't break any long runs, but
he is good enough to replace McGahee in
deeper Fantasy leagues. |
2. Maurice Morris
|
Waiver
Wire - RB's
Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren said Tuesday
that RB Shaun Alexander (foot) is not
expected to play in Week 10 vs. St. Louis.
Maurice Morris is expected to start again
at running back. Morris a solid No. 2
Fantasy RB for Week 10 action. |
3. Deangelo Williams
|
Waiver
Wire - RB's
There's no word on whether or not he will
play in Week 10, but Williams is fabulous
insurance for those owners starting DeShaun
Foster on a weekly basis. He's a faster
runner than DeShaun Foster and brings
more big-play capability. |
|
Waiver
Wire - RB's
Bears RB Cedric Benson had eight carries
for 34 yards against Miami. Benson is only
worth using in deep leagues. Consider him
a No. 3 RB or flex player in Week 10 against
the Giants. |
|
Waiver
Wire - WIDE RECEIVERS
Curtis will likely be on the injury report
for Week 10 and may not get a chance to
follow up on his great performance. Follow
up on his progress this week, but we think
of Curtis as a No. 3 WR at best when healthy
because his efforts can be spotty. |
|
Waiver
Wire - WR's
Jones has not been an impact player for
Fantasy owners at all this season. Consider
him a No. 3 option at best vs. Houston in
Week 10 -- the matchup is great but Jones'
production fluctuates. |
|
Waiver
Wire - WR's
Henderson benefited from Joe Horn not being
able to play against the Bucs. In fact,
Henderson had more yards against the Bucs,
then he previously had all season (110).
Henderson could be worth picking up, just
in case Horn is out for a long period of
time. |
|
Waiver
Wire - TIGHT ENDS
Right now your thinking WTF??? He's a
buy low sell high guy. With Seattle's
remaining schedule and Hasselbeck coming
back within two weeks Stevens is a decent
backup TE to have stashed on your bench
for that rainy playoff game. Hass loves
him as a red zone weapon.
|
1. Falcons Defense/ST
|
Waiver
Wire - DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS
The Falcons DST got three sacks and an
interception against Detroit. Look for
them to have a good game in Week 10 against
Cleveland. All their usual IDP players
are recommended starts.
