This is our waiver wire pick-ups
column. The WagerOnFootball.com staff will scour
the free agent pools in fantasy land for the best
available talent every week. Availability, of course,
depends on the league. We’re using 12 team,
15 roster spot leagues as the median, but we’ll
look for roster candidates for leagues of all shapes
and sizes. Grab the following before NFL Week 14.

FANTASY FOOTBALL WAIVER WIRE
Charlie Frye
Waiver
Wire - QUARTERBACKS
Filling in for
the injured Trent Dilfer, Charlie did a good
job throwing for 226 yards & 2 TDs against
a tough Jax defense, both to Braylon Edwards.
Since Frye showed he can handle the offense
well enough to give Cleveland a fighting chance,
Romeo will continue to go with Frye.
Ryan Moats
Waiver
Wire - RUNNING BACKS
Rookie Ryan Moats steps in as the Eagles'
new starter, though considering he didn't
impress on Monday night -- he rushed 10 times
for 26 yards and lost a fumble -- expect Lamar
Gordon and Reno Mahe to get some work as well.
Moats is worth a pickup, again for depth
Lamar Gordon
Is listed as probable this week vs. The Giants.
Gordon will see more carries with Brian Westbrook
out, but he's still no better than a desperation
flex starter in leagues with 12-plus teams.
Kevin Faulk
Faulk is injury free, Kevin returned to action
exactly where he left off. He will never win
a fantasy week for you, but he rarely gets shut
out of any points. He continues to do more damage
through the air (4 for 46) than the ground (35
yards)
Frank Gore
Gore was listed as questionable entering Sunday’s
game against the Cardinals with a hip injury
but, alas, he suited up. While his numbers
weren’t huge (53 all-purpose yards),
Gore could see more touches in the coming
weeks. Kevan Barlow is battling a knee injury
and the 49ers are clearly looking ahead to
next year.
Koren Robinson
Waiver Wire - WIDE
RECEIVERS
Koren Robinson caught four passes for 148
yards and an 80-yard touchdown in Week 13
at Detroit. SO? What will he do this week
you ask? I don't know. Robinson has worked
his way up the depth chart in Minnesota and
he's gained the trust of coach Mike Tice.
He is worth picking up for use as a No. 3
WR down the stretch.
Lee Evans
Second-year receiver Lee Evans turned in his
second multi-TD game of the year, scoring three
touchdowns in a brilliant first half from J.P.
Losman. Evans finished with 10 Looks on the
day (he averages 5.75 per game) and finds himself
in a favorable matchup this week against New
England.
Darrel Jackson
Jackson, who has missed a significant amount
of time due to a knee injury, could return
to action this week against the 49ers. Keep
an eye on the news out of Seattle, he will
be a gametime decision (late game) on Sunday.
(Is he worth the risk in the playoffs?)
Brian Fletcher
Waiver Wire - TIGHT
ENDS
While he hasn’t been racking up the
quantity of catches that you might prefer
from your starting tight end, Fletcher’s
consistency in the red zone cannot be ignored.
At the very least you can count on him as
an excellent backup TE.
Nick Novak
Waiver Wire - KICKERS
Subbing for Rackers - Nick Novak connected on
three field goals in Week 13 at San Francisco.
He was not given an opportunity to kick an extra
point. He is a decent play in Week 14 vs. Washington.
Rob Bironis
Rob Bironas scored a mere three points on one
field goal (34) in Sunday's 35-3 loss to Indianapolis.
I'm only telling you because that was last week....
Bironas is still a decent option in leagues
with 12-plus teams for Week 14 against the Houston
Texans.

FANTASY FOOTBALL WAIVER WIRE
Seahawks DST
Waiver Wire - DEFENCE
Wham - Fantasy football's new #5 Defence.
The Seattle Seahawks ladies and gentleman....Oh
by the way, they get the 49ers @home this
weekend. Qwest Field will be rockin!!! Only
downside is their secondary....missing 2 starters.
Packers DST
The Packers defense has been a pleasant surprise
in 2005, considering entering the season most
considered them to be the laughingstock of
the league. The Green Bay defense has single-handedly
kept the team in most games, including last
week when they held Bears QB Kyle Orton to
just 68 yards passing.
