With news that Donovan McNabb will have surgery to repair a sports hernia and is likely to miss the rest of the season, McMahon will continue to start at quarterback for the Eagles. Coach Andy Reid confirmed Monday that McMahon would start in Week 12.

Waiver Wire - RUNNING BACKS

Rhodes' value could dramatically increase in the weeks ahead even if James does not get hurt. That's right; he's not just an insurance back. Seeing as how the Colts are 10-0, simple arithmetic tells me there is a very good chance they will have home field advantage in the playoffs wrapped up prior to the end of the season. At which point, it would behoove head coach Tony Dungy to take it a little easier on some of his key players. More...

JJ Arington

Arrington led the Cards' running attack against the Rams Sunday with 11 carries for 45 yards and a touchdown. While the Arizona offense is still unbalanced, Sunday's performance provided signs of hope as Arrington scored for the second consecutive week and averaged 4.1 yards per carry.

Maurice Hicks

Kevan Barlow suffered a concussion on Sunday against the Seahawks. His replacement, Maurice Hicks, took a handoff 50 yards the first time he touched the ball. On the day, he had 87 total yards and a touchdown. Hicks was given the opportunity because Frank Gore, who typically backs up Barlow, suffered a hip flexor injury in practice. The status of both players is a bit up in the air at this point.

Edwards backed up his week-long push for more playing time with a career-high six catches for 90 yards in the Browns' win over the Dolphins. The rookie is finally being allowed to showcase the skills which made him the first receiver chosen in last year's draft

In the three games since the Terrell Owens suspension, Brown has caught 13 passes for 197 yards and two touchdowns, and he has shown more playmaking potential than Greg Lewis. With upcoming games against Green Bay and Seattle, Brown may come in handy if your team is lacking in the WR department. Next opponent: versus Green Bay.

Brandon Lloyd

A day after Lloyd made seven catches for 119 yards in the 49ers' 27-25 loss to Seattle on Sunday, coach Mike Nolan revealed he had spoken to him twice last week about sharp-edged comments regarding his teammates and the media. But despite this we still think Lloyd could be ok down the fantasy stretch here, since the 49ers are always losing, they'll be throwing.

Waiver Wire - TIGHT ENDS

Hilton, playing tight end Sunday in place of the injured Ernie Conwell, caught six passes for 72 yards. Though Hilton didn't start, he was the only Saints' tight end to make a catch Sunday. Conwell is aiming for a return this week against the Jets.
