- If, as many NFL coaches insist, being on time can
actually be defined as arriving early, than no one
can accuse the Philadelphia Eagles of being less than
prompt. Andy Reid's team will be the first of the
league's 32 squads to begin training camp when the
rookie Birds report to Lehigh University on July 20th,
with just two-and-a-half weeks separating their arrival
and an appearance against the Oakland Raiders in the
Hall of Fame Game from Canton, OH on August 6th. By
July 30th, each of the NFL's clubs will have officially
begun camp, and dozens of major storylines figure
to be permeating the mid-summer heat by that time.

about by the time we reach the dog days of summer?
