    REPORT DATES:
Rookies July 20th, Veterans July 23rd SITE: Lehigh
                            University, Bethlehem, PA CAMP OBJECTIVES:
Training camp will be a much happier place for both
Andy Reid and Donovan McNabb in the absence of problem
child Terrell Owens, but that doesn't mean the summer
won't be without its own share of drama for the Eagles.
Philly fans are going to be closely attuned to the
receiver situation, as Todd Pinkston attempts to come
back from the torn Achilles that shelved him for all
of 2005, second-year pro Reggie Brown tries to continue
his development, and newcomers like free agent acquisition
Jabar Gaffney (Texans) and rookies Jason Avant (Michigan)
and Jeremy Bloom (Colorado) try to insert themselves
into the mix there as well. The work of new No. 2
quarterback Jeff Garcia will also be worth watching
in light of McNabb's recent injury history. On the
other side of the ball, most of the offseason changes
were on the d- line, where end Darren Howard (Saints)
and tackles Ed Jasper (Raiders) and rookie Brodrick
Bunkley (Florida State) will seek to make an immediate
impression on Reid and defensive coordinator Jim Johnson.
Finally, there is some doubt as to who will man the
strong- and weakside linebacker slots, with prodigal
son Shawn Barber (Chiefs), second-year pro Matt McCoy,
and rookie third-rounder Chris Gocong (Cal Poly) among
the most intriguing candidates on the outside.
