    REPORT DATES:
Rookies July 26th, Veterans July 26th SITE: Rams Park,
                            St. Louis, MO CAMP OBJECTIVES:
The Rams offense will take on something of a different
look under first-year head coach Scott Linehan, and
the new regime will have to ensure that the likes
of Marc Bulger, Torry Holt, Isaac Bruce, and Steven
Jackson are all on the same page early. Linehan is
going to have to work some magic with an offensive
line that has struggled with injuries and inconsistency
in recent years but made no major additions via either
the draft or free agency. The battle between second-year
pro Ryan Fitzpatrick and offseason acquisition Gus
Frerotte for the second QB job should be intriguing
as well. Running back Marshall Faulk, who underwent
arthroscopic surgery on both his knees in the offseason,
is expected to make a decision about whether he will
return prior to camp. St. Louis finished 31st in NFL
scoring defense last season, and it will be up to
new coordinator and former Saints head coach Jim Haslett
to get that unit moving in the right direction. The
significant offseason additions on that side of the
ball were tackle La'Roi Glover (Cowboys), linebacker
Will Witherspoon (Panthers), rookie cornerback Tye
Hill (Clemson), and safety Corey Chavous (Vikings),
all of whom will have to be difference-makers for
                            the much-maligned unit.
