here for all NFL odds VIP Odds Dallas is 12:1 to win the
Super Bowl, 6:1 to win the NFC Championship,
and 11:5 to win the NFC East. Their Over / Under
win total is 9.5. Schedule Dallas’ 2006 opponents
had a record of 129-127 in 2005. That is in
the middle of the pack in the NFC. The Cowboys
get their bye-week after Week 2. The NFC East teams
all play the AFC South and NFC South divisions.
Last year, Dallas was 5-3 at home and 4-4 on
the road. That home record needs to be at least
6-2 this year, and that is very possible with
their schedule. The road has a lot of tough
                                  opponents including Jacksonville, Carolina and
Atlanta. Their three division road games will
also be tough. Sports Edge Analysis Quarterback, Drew Bledsoe
is in his second year as Cowboys’ quarterback
after having a pretty good 2005. Coach Bill
Parcells knows how to push Bledsoe’s buttons
from his New England days, and he gets the most
out of him. Bledsoe needs to continue to lower
                                  his interceptions, especially during crucial
times in the game. The more Bledsoe can hand
the ball off to running backs, Julius Jones
and Marion Barber, the better. Jones needs to
stay healthy for all 16 games because Barber
is hungry to become a starter. Overall, they
are a very good combination and the running
game should improve from being 6th in the NFC
last year. The big news from an offensive
perspective was the addition of receiver Terrell
Owens. Owens is currently nursing a hamstring
injury, but he is a great player when healthy
and not fighting with his quarterback and coaches.
Terry Glenn is a favorite target of Bledsoe
and he shifts to the number two receiver role.
Tight end, Jason Witten is one of the best in
                                  the conference. Offensive tackle, Flozell
Adams is recovering from his ACL injury last
year and they need him to protect Bledsoe’s
blinside. Rob Petitti, Marc Colombo, and Jason
Fabini are also fighting for tackle spots. The
interior linemen did not play as well as expected
last year, but there should be improvement. Dallas’ defense was
7th in the NFC in yards allowed last year, and
6th in points allowed. That was a pretty good
effort considering that they had a lot of young
and inexperienced players. The Cowboys’ 3-4
defense requires solid play from the nose tackle,
and Jason Ferguson can provide that. Chris Canty,
Jay Ratliff, and Marcus Spears are the ends
in the system, and all three are large specimens
with large potential. The linebacker group is
led by DeMarcus Ware who had eight sacks as
a rookie last year. The inside backers are Bradie
James and Akin Ayodele. Veteran, Greg Ellis
is penciled in at the outside spot, but that
will be a tough transition for the former defensive
                                  lineman. The secondary should
be one of the best in the conference as long
as free safety, Keith Davis stops getting shot.
Davis remains the starter next to Roy Williams
despite a July 16th incident that left him with
a bullet in his thigh. Predictions Coach Bill Parcells is
one of most interesting figures in the NFL.
His reputation as a great coach is only outweighed
by his reputation as a disciplinarian. It is
that kind of attitude that makes people believe
that he can actually keep Terrell Owens in line,
at least for this year. When you look at the coaching
history of the “Big Tuna”, it is
very telling. It took him four years to take
the Giants and the Patriots to the Super Bowl.
With the Jets, he left after three years, but
many thought he could take them to the Super
Bowl if he stayed the following year. This will be his
third year with Dallas and they are still a
year away from getting to a Super Bowl. Count
on a 10-6 record. Click any of the following
