we lead up to the NFL WEEK 8 with
this weeks games on the slate, you are in need of
a HOT fantasy football player right?
Well, these Top Adds for the week should help you
out. If you need to dump a lame duck on your team,
these NOTS should be them. Fantasy
Football always favors the prepared mind. The more
research you do, and the more HOT
players you have to choose from on your team, the
better your odds are of winning your fantasy football
league outright this year.Make
sure you stick with us as we try to uncover that unplucked
gem of fantasy football.Onto
this weeks Fantasy Football Hot & Not Players.
Week 8 Outlook: Against a
Saints' defense allowing over 125-rushing
yards per game, the Dolphins will stay away
from their scuffling passing game and focus
on reemphasizing the run. Ricky Williams is
quickly turning into a NON factor.
Donald Driver, WR - GB:
WEEK 8 Outlook: Cincinnati CBs
Tory James and Deltha O'Neal are playmakers and
can cause problems with their pressing at the
line, but both are prone to mistakes and Driver
has become adept at breaking the press. He now
is QB Brett Favre's unquestioned go-to guy
Willis McGahee, RB - BUF:
WEEK
8 Outlook: Not even the return of MLB/medical
marvel Tedy Bruschi can slow down McGahee. Buffalo's
inconsistent offensive line should rebound from
a poor performance last week against Oakland;
the Patriots have struggled with their interior
run defense
Steve Smith, WR - CAR:
WEEK
8 Outlook: Smith will excel once again
at home against a Vikings' defense that has simply
made too many mistakes this season. Expect Carolina
to establish a running game early on and then
take shots deep to Smith with play action.
Aaron Brooks, QB - NO:
WEEK 8 Outlook: The Saints' offense
begins and ends with Aaron Brooks, bad news for
New Orleans but decent news for fantasy owners.
Though he seems contractually obligated to throw
interceptions, Brooks also gets to work against
a Miami secondary scrambling to recover from a
slew of injuries.
Mark Brunell, QB - WAS:
WEEK
8 Outlook: The Giants 31st ranked Pass
Defense that is allowing 295.8 yards per game
will struggle to handle Santana Moss deep and
role player Chris Cooley on underneath routes
if they keep eight in the box to stop Clinton
Portis. Brunell has been very efficient and
is making intelligent decisions with the football
Joey Galloway, WR - TB:
WEEK
8 Outlook: If QB Brian Griese (knee)
hadn't gotten hurt and RB Cadillac Williams
(foot, hamstring) still were out, we'd love
this matchup. But for all of Galloway's speed
and all of San Francisco's injuries, youth and
communication problems in the secondary, Tampa
Bay likely will ride the run game hard this
week.

FANTASY
FOOTBALL WHO'S NOT HOT - FOLLOWING WEEK 7
Jamal Lewis, RB - BAL:
WEEK 8 Outlook: Lewis is running
like he has a ball and chain attached to his ankle.
Against a stout Pittsburgh run defense allowing
only 90-yards per game, Lewis seems certain to
put up another disappointing performance.
Marcell Shipp, RB Cardinals:
WEEK
8 Outlook: Dallas is allowing only 91.4
rushing yards per game, and Arizona is averaging
just 71.2 yards on the ground. The Cardinals don't
show enough dedication to the run, which is part
of the reason the offensive linemen don't have
that hard edge when the team tries to grind it
out. With Shipp splitting time with RB J.J. Arrington,
there simply won't be enough yards
Kevin Jones, RB Lions:
WEEK
8 Outlook: Jones, who fared pretty well
last week for a guy running in a shoulder harness
(21 carries, 74 yards), will have it much tougher
against Chicago this week. The Bears, who held
Jones to 22 yards on eight carries in Week 2,
will blow up the interior with DTs Ian Scott and
Tommie Harris
Jerry Porter, WR, OAK:
WEEK 8 Outlook: Porter has been
strangely quiet, in good matchups and bad, with
and without WR Randy Moss on the field. He should
own this matchup, but he's given everyone reason
to be skeptical. He should do well in Week 8 vs
Tennessee though.
Marshall Faulk, RB, ST.L:
WEEK
8 Outlook: Faulk hasn't gotten many touches
in the offense as a runner, but he has been more
involved in the passing game since QB Jamie Martin
took over (nine catches, 49 yards in two games).
Martin, whose arm is pedestrian and who prefers
underneath targets to sideline or deep routes,
could continue to help juice up Faulk's numbers.
Trent Dilfer, QB - CLE:
WEEK 8 Outlook:
Dilfer was awful last week (10-for-19, 73 yards,
three interceptions, zero TDs), but he couldn't
ask for a better opponent to try to bounce back
against. Houston must blitz to create pressure,
but that means its defensive backs are either
asked to cover man-to-man or everyone must know
his place in a matchup zone.
Kevin Barlow, RB - SF:
WEEK 8 Outlook:
Barlow is San Francisco's starter, but perhaps
not for long if he doesn't start running with
more conviction or if his quadriceps bruise turns
into a more serious problem. Worse yet, Tampa
Bay has the league's best run defense.
