fantasy FOOTBALL - Week 6 hot & not players
Hot & Not Following Week
5's NFL Games...
If you are in need
of a HOT fantasy football player
these Top Hot players for the week should help
you out if they're in your lineup. If you need
to dump a lame duck on your team, these NOTS
should be them. Fantasy Football always favors
the prepared mind. The more research you do,
and the more HOT players you
have to choose from on your team, the better
your odds are of winning your fantasy football
league outright this year.

WEEK 6 FANTASY FOOTBALL HOT & NOT
PLAYERS |
1. Philip Rivers |
HOT
QUARTERBACKS
In a game
San Diego should lead wire-to-wire, Rivers
won't match last week's numbers. But that
doesn't preclude another strong performance.
San Francisco's secondary is a sitting
duck, and Rivers' ability to target his
backs and tight ends -- not to mention
the threat of play action -- gives him
all kinds of options. |
|
Here's where it gets ugly. Yes, Leinart
showed poise and made some nice throws
in last week's NFL debut, and he did it
against a Kansas City defense that previously
hadn't allowed a TD pass (Leinart threw
two). That was then. The rookie hasn't
seen anything like Chicago's defense
|
|
Facing the NFL's 30th ranked pass defense,
Losman has solid value as a bye week starter.
The Lions' pass defense is simply atrocious.
Opposing quarterbacks are completing an
astounding 72.4% of their passes against
a toothless Lions' defense that has managed
just six sacks and one interception. |
|
HOT
RUNNING BACKS
Washington isn't quite as good as his
101 yard performance last week against
Jacksonville but he's the best fantasy
running back option in New York's sputtering
ground game.
|
2. Maurice Drew
|
If you saw the little fella run against
New York, you know he's one of the league's
few No. 2 backs worth fantasy starter
consideration. This week = Bye Week |
3. Reggie Bush
|
Bush will continue to do what he does
best -- catch passes -- en route to a
solid all around fantasy day vs The Eagles
at the Superdome.
|
|
HOT
WIDE RECEIVERS
No longer just a one-dimensional speed demon,
Berrian has added subtlety and smarts to
his game, setting up cornerbacks for big
plays with his route running. |
|
Byron Leftwich has gained some confidence
with Williams and loves him on short routes
and slants. Bye Week this week. |
|
Becoming Favre's goto guy with Driver on
the shelf. This week Bye Week |
|
HOT
DEFENSE
The stout Broncos defense will put the
clamps on the Raiders' dysfunctional offense.
Denver continues to improve defensively,
has allowed only one TD this season and
will have a good chance to shut out the
Raiders.

WEEK 6 FANTASY FOOTBALL HOT & NOT
PLAYERS |
1. Kurt Warner
|
NOT
QUARTERBACKS
Three weeks
in a row Kurt Warner makes this list....Not
to Kurt, that's not a good thing. Bench
him, and keep him there. |
|
Considering how poorly Culpepper was
playing prior to his demotion, Saban's
decision to stick with Joey Harrington
as the Dolphins' starter shouldn't affect
too many fantasy owners. |
|
McNair will have a tough time putting up
decent numbers again this week. Baltimore's
offense has stunk much of the year because
McNair has yet to produce at a high level. |
|
NOT
RUNNING BACKS
In what figures to be a blowout, Mike
Bell will get some carries behind starter
Tatum Bell and might have a chance to
break a couple of big plays. |
2. Chris Brown |
Expect Brown to stay out again. The Titans
had great success with RB Travis Henry last
week and with Brown inactive. Look for the
same formula againt his week |
3. Sam Gado |
Being RB Ron Dayne's understudy usually
means a starring role isn't far off. because
Ron Dayne never holds a gig long.
|
|
NOT
WIDE RECEIVERS
Week 2 on this list, thank goodness this
week is his Bye Week |
|
Sidelined by a finger injury last week,
Givens is unlikely to play against the Redskins.
Even if he is somehow able to go, the sorry
state of the Titans' passing game is reason
enough to bench him. Oh how he misses Tom. |
|
NOT
DEFENSE
Got torched by the Titans Run game last
week, this week is a Bye week.
|
|
NOT
DEFENSE
QB Marc Bulger still has not thrown an
interception and the Rams will not give
Seattle's defense many opportunities to
take advantage of. The Seahawks should
bounce back a little though after being
torched for multiple big plays by the
Bears two weeks ago. Coming off a bye
week.
