The Seattle Seahawks host the Washington Redskins
Saturday in the NFC Divisional Playoffs with
the winner advancing and the loser going home.
The Redskins' offense that only racked up
136 yards of total offense last week will
have to take it up a notch this week versus
a Seahawks' squad that led the league averaging
28.3 points per game in the regular season.
The Seahawks are favored, opening as 9-point
chalk, with an opening total of 42. They are
9-6-1 ATS this season and 4-12 OU. The Redskins
are 11-6 ATS and are 8-9 OU. Joe Gibbs's Redskins
were busy last game winning against Tampa
Bay 17-10 as 2-point underdogs in the Wild
Card round. The 27 points sent that game under
the total of 37.5. Mike Holmgren's team was
busy last game losing to Green Bay 23-17 as
6-point underdogs. The 40 points sent that
game under the total of 41. Washington had
better be practising their run defence this
week, as Seattle will hit them with one of
the league's top-rated ground games that has
averaged 153.6 yards per game this season,
3rd Best in the league. InDepth

The Pittsburgh Steelers got past the high powered
Cincinnati Bengals offense, now they'll have
to pull out all the stops again this week versus

Two of the league's top defenses square off
in the playoffs this week as the Chicago Bears
and their second ranked defensive host the Carolina
Panthers and their third ranked defensive unit.
The Panthers clashed with the Bears at Soldier
Field back in week 11 of the regular season,
with the Bears victorious, 13-3 as a 3-point
home dog. The Panthers come in as a slight 3-point
road underdog and look to improve on their 10-7
ATS Mark. The Bears, 9-5-2 ATS, will try to
cover the 3 points at home. Totals bettors see
the line opened at 31.5. The Panthers come off
a 23-0 win against New York in the Wild Card
round, a game where they were 3-point underdogs.
The game went under the closing total of 44.
The Bears were on the losing end of a 34-10
contest versus the Minnesota Vikings during
the final week of the regular season. Chicago
was a 6-point underdog in that game, while the
final score went over the closing total (35).
Chicago has battled to get its passing game
on track to no avail so far. They average just
125.1 yards per game through the air, among
the bottom three in the league. More production
is needed from the receivers this week. InDepth
