The Rams are a big underdog in the NFC West,
which is surprising, considering how consistent
their offense can be. Stephen Jackson is emerging
as a powerful runner, and showed some flashes
of being brutally unstoppable even with eight
in the box. Marc Bulger, despite having the personality
of a brick wall, is still one of the more consistent
field generals.
St. Louis Rams

The receiving corps got a huge boost when Drew
Bennett was brought in. Bennett is 6-foot-5 with
great speed and hands, and may finally have a
quarterback who can get him the ball. He will
be groomed to replace Isaac Bruce as he and Tory
Holt terrorize the opposing secondary. Randy
McMichael is the most reliable tight-end this
team has had in years.
So the lingering question remains their defense.
Adam Carriker was drafted at defensive-end, and
he is a great talent, but will face a lot of
attention from the big offensive guards in the
NFL. This unit still lacks that true stud who
can bring passion and consistency to the defense.
So while the Rams
will have a fun offense to watch, the defense
won’t be able to keep
them in games. That is the most important reason
your money should stay away from the Rams, whether
you are looking for a divisional or Super Bowl
champion.
