NFL Betting Picks - 2007 Chicago Bears Odds and Predictions

The NFC North is largely considered the easiest
NFL betting division in football, by far. The
Bears dominated last year on their way to a Super
Bowl appearance, while the rest of the division
simply struggled for survival.
With Jon Kitna making promises that Detroit
is a 10+ win team, Brett Favre enjoying his swan
song and the Bears possibly losing Lance Briggs,
what happens to the football landscape in the
NFC North?
Chicago Bears Odds & Lines
+1400 to win Super Bowl XLII
-350 to win NFC North
+250 NOT to make the playoffs
The Bears have low-paying
NFL odds to win Super Bowl XLII, considering
they are in the NFC, but getting there might
be easy as last year’s
trip. They have most of their defense returning
and have added new weapons to their offense.
Their significant losses were running back Thomas
Jones to New York Jets and troubled nose tackle
Tank Johnson, who was released last month. Pro-bowl
line backer Lance Briggs is still sitting out
after getting the franchise tag, but some signs
are pointing to him to return and have the Bears
throw big money at him next year.
With Bernard Berrian returning his deep routes
and Mushin Muhammad being the leader he was last
season, the offense remains mostly intact. Dallas
Clark will join Greg Olson and give the Bears
the chance to run two tight-end sets for the
first time in a while. Olsen, a gifted receiver
and a great talent for the Bears to score with,
was the thirty-first pick overall this past spring.
With Cedric Benson, the running game will be
in the capable hands, but Lovie Smith loves rookie
Adrian Peterson, too. Garrett Wolfe, if not a
little undersized, is a solid back who will get
his chances to carry as well.
Two big questions remain for those who will
bet on football this year. Can quarterback Rex
Grossman win consistently, or will Brian Griese
(making $6 million on the bench) get his chance
to shine? Also, Devin Hester is being worked
in as a wide-receiver, and what will his affect
be?
The defense needs no introduction.
The Bears are one
of the best all-round team in the NFL. They
pound the rock, play hard-core defense, and
can expose you deep with long passes. No surprise – the
Bears will win the NFC North for the third
consecutive season.
