G4 Accreditation

Global Gambling Guidance Group
last week announced that Pokerroom.com
has become the first online gambling service to
receive G4 accreditation. The program aims to assure
customers that accredited sites maintain responsible
gambling practices.
G4 launched in 2002 as the
brainchild of a group of responsible gambling experts
from around the world. It now has more than 20 members.
The core group of experts that make up the organization--Thomas
Nilsson from Sweden, Pieter Remmers from the Netherlands
and Paul Symond from Australia--developed the responsible
gaming accreditation program to help companies in
the gaming industry demonstrate how seriously they
take the issue of problem gambling. The organization
also provides training programs for staff in gaming
venues and run help lines for problem gamblers.

put its staff through training on problem gambling
to reach full accreditation and must continue with
further training twice a year. The site also has
to implement self-limitation and self-exclusion
policies, gear promotions toward adults only and
display information on problem gambling and where
players can get help.
Remmers is confident that problem
gambling issues can be dealt with effectively as
more and more of a cross section from the gambling
industry becomes part of G4 process.
"The idea is to set the
international standard for responsible gaming,"
Remmers said. "The accreditation is important,
as it enhances the image of the whole gaming industry
as well as the individual company. It distinguishes
companies from those that are not as ethical or
responsible."

responsibility of the player to cash-out any remaining
funds from the blocked account(s). Any play money
credits, player points, tournament tickets or coupons
within the blocked accounts are non-transferable
and in such an instance shall be deemed null and
void.

is allowed per household.

reserves the right to close any other real money
accounts that are traced to the same address or
computer. In such a situation, any remaining monies
may be cashed out by the player. If promotional

PokerRoom.com reserves the right to remove all bonuses
paid into all linked accounts. If an amount of money
paid into either of the accounts by PokerRoom.com
is outstanding, PokerRoom.com reserves the right
to demand that the Player deposits a sum into their
account equal to the debt owed. This amount shall
be removed by Pokerroom.com
in order to settle any outstanding debt.

A Player is only allowed to
fund 2 real money accounts on behalf of other players.
If a Player funds more than three accounts in total,
i.e. their own and 2 other players', Pokerroom.com
reserves the right to block play for all the accounts
except one remaining account. It is the responsibility
of the player to cash-out any remaining funds from
the blocked account(s). Any play money credits,
player points, tournament tickets or coupons within
the blocked accounts are non-transferable and in
such an instance shall be deemed null and void.

is not responsible for claims for losses or damages
resulting from real money play under any condition.
The Player is responsible for maintaining the secrecy
and security of their account passwords and other

account or any losses that may result, of such unauthorized
use.

Fraud, Money dumping
and Collusion:
PokerRoom.com also has the right to hold any and
all of a player's funds indefinitely if it is found
that the player has been involved in fraudulent
activity on Pokerroom.com.
Fraudulent activity may include, but is not limited
to, stolen credit cards, transfer of funds to other
player accounts (chip dumping), forgery, and collusion.
