The Buckeyes and their all star linebackers
led by AJ Hawk are holding opponents
to 62.7 yards per game this season.
The Gophers, led by the tandem of
Laurence Maroney and Gary Russell
are averaging 299 yards a game rushing.
The Gophers are coming off a devastating
loss to arch rival Wisconsin but have
had a bye week to get over it and
focus on the Buckeyes.

rivals always seems to be critical,
though it holds significantly more
importance for Georgia this time as
the teams square off at Alltel Stadium
in Jacksonville, Fla.The Bulldogs
are 11-1-1 when they go into this
matchup unbeaten, with the lone loss
coming in 2002. Georgia was 8-0 and
ranked fifth, only to fall 20-13 to
the Gators for what turned out to
be its only loss of the season.Georgia
leads the all-time series 46-35-2.

Alex bowing out of the Breeders’
Cup 2005 Classic Division, it will
be a battle between hot favorites
Saint Liam, winner of the Woodward
Stakes, and Rock Hard Ten who ruled
the Santa Anita Handicap for the
$4 million purse. Other thoroughbred
champs including Flower Alley, who
made an impressive finish in the
Travers Stakes, and Borrego who
managed an upset in the Pacific
Classic, are expected to give the
two a chase for the prize.
