July 18th)
The NFL season kicks off Thursday
September 7th this year with Pittsburgh hosting
Miami. I've dealt with many sports bettors over
the years who circle that date and that's when
they seriously renew their battle with the books.
Sure, they may wager another sport more seriously
between February to August or "dabble"
with a few other plays but for many the NFL
is King and that's where they want their money
riding.
I can't blame them really. I'm not one to get
caught up in weekly hype but there's something
about the NFL that takes things up a few extra
notches every weekend.
However, there are a TON of opportunities after
the Super Bowl to get the football fix and make
a tidy profit. Opportunities that are MUCH BETTER
than NFL regular season betting.
Arena Football and CFL (Canadian Football)
gets very little attention from the linesmaker
compared to the NFL. It leads to softer lines
and better opportunities because the overall
money coming in on the games is quite small
in comparison. It takes a long time for the
books to figure out teams and adjust, weather
seems to rarely get factored in (CFL), and injuries
often aren't fully accounted for in the line.
That's why alot of the weekly “handle”
on the AFL and CFL comes from pros/sharps. To
a lesser degree, the same can be said for the
NFL preseason because we still have many that
claim that wagering on the preseason isn't a
good idea (I still laugh every time I hear that).
For the football handicapper in me, these sports
are appealing because many of the team dynamics
and the weekly emotional ups & downs are
similar. Numbers, weather, situational systems,
and injuries all come into play. The best part
is the books just don't care as much! In the
past 2+ seasons I've earned a combined 84-48
+3174 result in the AFL, CFL, & NFL Preseason
documented here at ProCappers. That's over $3,000.00
profit at only $100 per play & a tidy 30
G's for a dime player. There have been some
great runs during that time, like my current
9-1 CFL season, and many Feature Play winners
which have been bet for higher amounts.
The bottom line is that we have around 6 months
of opportunities that SHOULD be taken advantage
of before the NFL Regular Season kicks off!
There's nothing like beating the bookmakers
during the NFL and arguably it's the toughest
sport to beat. If you're the Boston Red Sox,
nothing gets your blood flowing like a match-up
vs the Yankees with the division on the line.
Same for many of us, the NFL pushes our buttons
as sports bettors. But there's nothing wrong
with spending some time pounding an inferior
team and building the record and stats (KC Royals
& Pittsburgh Pirates fans unfortunately
know what I'm talking about this season). For
me, the equivalent is hammering the AFL, CFL,
& NFL preseason to build the bankroll.
A much easier environment if you know what
to look for and the money is just as green!
Keep these in mind if you want to build your
bankroll.
