Welcome to another edition
of The Weekly Wager, from WagerOnFootball.com.
After the a great week of NFL Wildcard games
more great games await us on NFL Divisional
Playoff Weekend. Last weekend for the second
year in a row, three of the four wild-card
road teams came out victorious. All four
of this weekend's playoff games will be
rematches from the regular season: Washington
vs. Seattle. They met on October 2nd in
Washington, where with an overtime field
goal beat the Seahawks 20-17. New England
vs. Denver on Saturday, the Patriots fell
at Denver 28-20 on October 16th. Pittsburgh
at Indianapolis, the Steelers will try to
avenge a November 28th defeat when the Colts
took down the Steelers 26-7. And Carolina
at Chicago on Sunday, the Bears beat the
Panthers 13-3 at Soldier Field on November
20th, one of the NFC North champion's most
impressive wins all season. Lets stop wasting
your time and get to the action...
WagerOnFootball.com has posted the NFL Playoff

The
Seattle Seahawks' roll through
the NFC began following
an early season loss to
the Washington Redskins
-- a game that preceded
an eight-week slide that
seemed certain to sink Washington's
playoff chances. Thanks
to a second-half turnaround,
though, the Redskins earned
a postseason berth and won
their playoff opener. Washington's
reward for the victory is
another matchup with NFL
MVP Shaun Alexander and
the top-seeded Seahawks,
this time at Seattle's Qwest
Field. InDepth

John Elway retired instead
of going for a third consecutive
Super Bowl victory. His
former team now can prevent
Tom Brady from having a
shot at it. Brady tries
to build his legend in the
city where Elway became
one, looking to lift the
New England Patriots one
step closer to making NFL
history when they visit
the Denver Broncos in an
AFC divisional playoff game.

The
Indianapolis Colts have
not played a game that has
mattered in nearly a month.
That's all the Pittsburgh
Steelers have been doing
lately. The NFL's best team
during the regular season
will resume its pursuit
of the franchise's first
Super Bowl berth in 35 years
when the Colts play host
to a Steelers club that
has been in must-win mode
for quite a while. InDepth

Carolina showed last week
why it's one of the top
defensive teams in the NFL.
Two months ago, the Chicago
Bears proved to the Panthers
they are one of the league's
best as well. The Panthers
will look for a better performance
in Chicago than their first
game there this season when
they take on the Bears in
the NFC divisional playoffs.

Picks for you: The
Skins' D makes Seattle work harder
than it has had to in almost two months,
but the 'Hawks still flash enough
offense to end the NFL's longest playoff-win
drought at 21 years.
Seattle 23, Washington 16
The Patriots run defense
steps to the fore, and New England
gets another clutch Adam Vinatieri
game-winner to log its toughest playoff
road victory of the Bill Belichick
era. New
England 20, Denver 17
The Steelers give the
Colts a much better game than they
managed in late November at the RCA
Dome, but the rest factor trumps the
rust factor as Indy earns another
AFC title game berth. Indianapolis
27, Pittsburgh 17
The Bears gave up 75
points in their last four games after
allowing just 68 in their previous
eight contests. Panthers will run
the ball, protect Jake Delhomme better,
and force Chicago into a turnover
or two. Carolina
17, Chicago 13
