For Immediate Release
-- November 29, 2005
The Heisman race is heating up
with just over a week left before voters pencil
in their picks. Bodog.com has posted the odds
in time for the December 10 awards in New York.
Considered the most prestigious
award in college football, the Heisman Memorial
Trophy Award is given to the top player in the
NCAA each year. In a highly contested race for
one of the most coveted individual prizes in
sports, two candidates stand out.
The season-long duel between
Southern California’s dynamic running
back Reggie Bush and Vince Young, the sensational
Texas quarterback, is winding down and NCAA
fans are placing their bets.
Coming off strong performances
during his last few games, Bush is leading the
way as the overwhelming favorite at 1/10 odds.
“Here we have two equally
outstanding and deserving players vying for
college football’s top award, with their
every move being analyzed before decision day,”
says Calvin Ayre, Founder and CEO of Bodog.com.
Other contenders for the Heisman
Trophy, which will be presented at the New York
Athletic Club, include Matt Leinart, the USC
quarterback who won the trophy last year, and
Notre Dame’s junior quarterback Brady
Quinn.
Odds to wín the
2005 Heisman Trophy?
Reggie Bush (USC) 1/10
Vince Young (Texas) 9/2
Matt Leinart (USC) 18/1
Brady Quinn (Notre Dame) 55/1
