Fantasy Football Rookies - Any Impact?
Team |
Rookie
Notes |
Ronnie
Brown, Dolphins RB |
#1 NFL
Fantasy Football Rookie - Brown's chance
for big number depends on the Dolphins Offensive
Line. Ricky Williams's being allowed to return
after a possible 4 game suspension, and actually
makes an impact. Even if he doesn't get a ton
of yards, take a shot he finds the endzone a
few times. Come on Saban get that offensive
line motivated, and this kid puts up big fantasy
numbers. |
Cedrick
Benson, Bears RB |
#2
NFL Fantasy Football Rookie - Cedric
Benson has become one of the best college backs
in the history of the NCAA during his career
at Texas, now he hopes to carry this into the
NFL fantasy football. The Bears see Thomas Jones
as serviceable, and just that. So instead of
a WR they took Benson. One of the best red zone
backs in a long, long time. |
Braylon
Edwards, Browns WR |
#3 NFL
Fantasy Football Rookie - Trent Dilfer
now has 2 great receivers to throw to. As Edwards
will step right in and start in the Cleveland
offense with Winslow at Tight End. OOOPS check
that after that dumbass' move. At 6'2"
210lbs he's a big target, and he will be the
focal point now. Pressure? why of course, but
he has got mad skills. |
Troy
Williamson, Vikings WR |
#4 NFL
Fantasy Football Rookie - Williamson
can flat out fly. While he's not the biggest
guy in the world he's one of the quickest, and
can get down the field. He has good concentration
and hands and can catch the ball away from his
body. With that speed big plays will come from
week 1 on. He's not going to replace Moss over
night though folks. |
Cadillac
Williams, Buccaneers RB |
#5 NFL
Fantasy Football Rookie - The Bucs
needed a RB badly and this guy fits the mold.
Excellent between the tackles which equals touchdowns.
Great change of pace and cutting skills, and
is said to be at his best up the middle. The
Bucs will love this kid. Gruden is smiling at
his new platoon of Williams and Pittman. |
Mike
Williams, Lions WR |
#6 NFL
Fantasy Football Rookie - Mike Williams
is a towering receiver who will present a mismatch
against every CB that covers him. What a group
of young wide receivers in D-Town now. Williams
is a smart fantasy move and may serve as a hybrid
WR/TE. For now he's D-Town's #3. The big question
here is Joey Harrington getting him the ball. |
Matt
Jones,
Jaguars WR |
#7
NFL Fantasy Football Rookie - While
Jones is making the adjustment to receiver,
and at Arkansas had just 4 catches for 58 yards
while primarily playing quarterback, his combination
of size and speed make him an attractive fantasy
target on draft day. An incredible athlete with
an accurate QB in Leftwich. Once he learns the
offense, and grasps the positon he could be
lethal. |
Heath
Miller, Steelers TE |
#8
NFL Fantasy Football Rookie - Big Ben
should be able to find the 6’5”
260lb TE that runs excellent routes and has
the ability to get downfield. Miller
hauled in 41 catches for 541 yards and 5 touchdowns
as a senior and with Burress off to NYG he'll
become a factor in the Steeler offensive show
with Ward. He will be a prime red zone target
as well with that size and those hands. |
Reggie
Brown, Eagles WR |
#9 NFL
Fantasy Football Rookie - Freddie Mitchell
that worthless bum is gone. Who knows what is
actually going on in Phili with T.O. situation.
I don't even think Coach Reid knows. Enter Reggie
Brown. This kid has a great shot to be more
than a backup on opening day with McNabb chucking
him deep balls all day long. Do you really think
Pinkston can stay on the field much longer?
|
Mark
Clayton, Ravens WR |
#10
NFL Fantasy Football Rookie - Clayton
is silky smooth. This kid can flat out play,
and for my money has the most electrafying moves
since Barry Sanders. He's a precise route runner
and you will see him get a ton of yards after
the catch. One has to wonder just how much action
he'll see from a run first offense with Boller
at QB and newly aquired Derrick Mason manning
the #1 WR spot. |
