NFL Betting Odds - Dallas Cowboys (+3) at Chicago Bears (-3)

Articles
The Dallas Cowboys, (2-0 SU, 2-0 ATS, 2-0 O/U)
have looked very good, particularly on offense,
in putting up a combined 82 points in their first
two games and will likely get much better on
defense under head coach Wade Philips as the
season progresses.
Dallas is ranked
fourth in overall offense (7th pass, 5th rush)
and 26th on defense and is coming off a dominating
37-20 win over the Miami Dolphins in a game
that was one of my “locks” for
Week 2.
The Chicago Bears, (1-1 SU, 0-2 ATS, 0-2 O/U)
have not looked particularly good in splitting
their first two games, a 14-3 loss to the San
Diego Chargers and a 20-10 win over the mediocre
Kansas City Chiefs.
Chicago’s 30th ranked offense is far behind
their teammates on the defensive side of the
football and could be the team’s downfall
again in 2007 despite owning what most NFL observers
think is the best defense in all of football.
Here is a look
at tonight’s key trends
followed by my Free NFL Betting Pick:
Key Cowboys Trends
The Cowboys are 4-0-1 ATS in their last five
road games.
The Cowboys are 5-1 ATS in their last six games
as a road underdog.
The Cowboys are 4-1-1 ATS in their last six
games on Grass.
Key Bears Trends
The Bears are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 home
games vs. a team with a winning road record.
The Bears are 1-4 ATS in their last five games
in Week three.
The Bears are 1-4 ATS in their last five games
following a S.U. win.
Key Totals Trends
The Over is 4-0-1 in Cowboys last five games
in September.
The Over is 6-0 in Cowboys last six games in
Week three.
The Over is 14-2-1 in Bears last 17 vs. NFC.
The Over is 10-2 in Bears last twelve games
as a home favorite.
Key Head-to-Head Trends
The Under is 4-0 in the last four meetings.
The Home team is 4-0 ATS in their last four
meetings.
If the Cowboys
can keep dangerous return man Devin Hester
out of the end zone, I think this is a game
they can win outright. Despite their low ranking,
the Cowboys’ defense could
find themselves in the top 10 in that category
at some point in the near future, while the Bears
are still dealing with inconsistent quarterback
Rex Grossman. Take the Cowboys to cover and likely
win outright.
