The Jags always looks
like they’re on
the verge of something great. And I love their
game plan. Size, size, size. That’s all
that matters to Jack Del Rio and his coaching
staff. But is it enough to unseat Indy in the
division? Let’s take a look at the NFL
betting lines up for the Jags by the BetUS sportsbook.

Releasing Darius Walker was a curious move,
but the team must think that highly of draftee
Reggie Nelson from Florida. Nelson is a barn-burning
safety who can ball hawk with the best of them
while collapsing the run game at his own will.
You have to get defensive on the Colts, and the
Jaguars made a great decision in picking him
up.
The offense is still uncertain as to who will
be throwing the ball. Byron Leftwich is confident
he will start, but David Garrard is also suitable
for the job.
Matt Jones and Reggie Williams emerged as their
go-to guys at receiver, but Williams tapered
off in the latter part of the season. There are
plenty of wide-outs on the roster, but somebody
is going to have to emerge as a legitimate and
consistent threat.
Fred Taylor and Maurice “Mojo” Jones-Drew
led the charge last season and did a phenomenal
job of using speed to overwhelm defenses. If
Mojo can avoid the sophomore slump, the Jags
are going to be deadly on the ground.
The defense is still one of the nastiest in
the league, and the aforementioned Nelson will
help solidify a young defense that is on the
up-and-up.
The big question is whether they can find a
regular starter at quarterback. If they can,
they will be able to push Indy for the division.
But if the picture remains as unclear as it has
been over the past two seasons, this is barely
a .500 team.
Until Jacksonville can clear up their passer
situation, you do your football betting on another
team where it is safer.
