NCAA Football Opinion – Heisman
Hopefuls, Following Week 10

Articles
1.
Dennis Dixon (QB) – Oregon Ducks
With Matt Ryan stumbling against Florida State,
Dennis Dixon is soaring past the rest of the
crop because of his team’s fantastic
record and the difficulty of his schedule.
Toppling the Arizona State Sun Devils with
his underrated arm, Dixon rifled 189 yards
for four touchdowns and added 57 rushing yards
on the ground. He has the bye week to rest
and focus on the three remaining games. The
savvy betting investor who too the leap with
Dixon shouldn’t count their eggs yet,
but they can certainly be happy for now.
Next game: BYE WEEK
2.
Tim Tebow (QB) – Florida
Gators
Tebow continued to dominate on the field while
Florida romped Vanderbilt in a lopsided 49-22
victory. He threw for 281 yards and three touchdowns,
but notched a pick as well. Helping his Heisman
resume are the two touchdowns he rushed for
while averaging 5.8 yards per carry.
The betting community should not lose hope just
yet, since Tebow is such an obvious top-3 candidate,
but he is surrounded by several accomplished
seniors which may hurt his chances. Tebow is
still rocks the best quarterback rating with
a score of 179.13 while leading all quarterback
with 10 yards per attempt.
Next game: Florida (-6) vs. South Carolina
3.
Darren McFadden (RB) – Arkansas Razorbacks
McFadden faced a stiff Spurrier defense this
past weekend and logged 321 rushing yards,
proving why he is the best player in the nation.
The voters love McFadden, despite his somewhat
mediocre season. McFadden vaulted up the stat
sheet and is now third overall in total yards
with 1,314 (tied with Rashard Mendenhall of
Illinois) and has 12 touchdowns on the year.
Entering the season he was the favorite, and
if he can finish the season strong then he will
definitely be receiving a ticket to New York.
But he has some very esteemed company with a
bevy of quarterbacks having gangbuster seasons.
Next game: Arkansas (-1) vs. Tennessee
4.
Chase Daniel (QB) – Missouri Tigers
You can’t talk about the Heisman race without
mentioning Chase. Leading the Tigers past Colorado
with 421 passing yards for 5 touchdowns, his
squad stomped the opposition 55-10. The only
way he can get a crack at the Heisman is by having
a monster game against Kansas, and hoping that
the guys ahead of him stumble down the stretch.
Still, he remains an attractive betting underdog
in our NCAAF futures.
Next game: Texas
A&M vs. Missouri (-17.5)
5.
Todd Boeckman (QB) – Ohio State Buckeyes
The best player on the best team in the nation
doesn’t have stats that will jump out
of you, but his team’s success is largely
due to his steady play. Against Wisconsin,
he completed 17-of-28 for 166 yards and two
scores while adding 27 rushing yards. The defense
in Ohio State takes a load of pressure off
of Boeckman, but he has taken advantage of
the opportunities. Illinois has a strong history
of giving the Buckeyes a massive headache,
so Boeckman will have to be at his best to
stay in the Heisman top-5.
Next game: Illinois vs. Ohio State (-14.5)
