McGahee joins the Ravens, adding the power
running game that Coach Brian Billick loves
and hasn’t had since Jamal
Lewis’ 2000 yard season. The offense should
steamroll under the helm of Steve McNair, who
still has Todd Heap and Derrick Mason to throw
to as well.
The defense in Baltimore, despite the loss of
Adalius Thomas, is still one of the most feared
and versatile in the league. They can disrupt
routes, disguise themselves well and, most important
of all, they can score. Rex Ryan is a masterful
defensive coordinator.
Let’s put it this way – they
won the division last year without Willis McGahee.
With the other three teams in this division going
through such turmoil, it is impossible not to
bet on the Ravens to win the AFC North. With
McGahee in tow, they are certainly in the midst
of the Super Bowl contenders.
