Injuries yet again top
the headlines of our weekly rankings. I hope
you drafted the backups for Brandon Jacobs, Steven
Jackson, Ahmen Green, Brian Westbrook, and Deuce
McAllister, as they are or could ALL be out this
week. (Deuce and Jacobs for sure). Just goes
to show you that you'd better backup your #1
RB with his backup on draft day. Last week was
crazy, who could have predicted the Texans being
a top 5 fantasy defense, or the Packers beating
the Chargers. The Seahawks limiting the Bengals
to 1 TD thru the air, and Brett Favre tieing
Marino's record vs the Chargers. This is why
we play fantasy football, because every year
is different. Onto week 4 where there are some
great matchups for us to look at later in the
week in our Matchups column.

The Wager On Football fantasy
rankings are based on a performance scoring system
where a player gets a bonus for yards and six
points for touchdowns. Each week, our Wager On
Football Fantasy Football experts get together
and review all NFL matchups from a Fantasy perspective
as the basis for these rankings. We provide you
with a listing of the top 20 quarterbacks, running
backs, and wide receivers plus tight ends, and
defenses. We do
not rank KICKERS on purpose ok?? Several
factors are considered, including strength of
opponent, recent performances, individual matchups
and all the intangibles that encompass an NFL
matchup. Such as rivalries, weather, team moral,
and playing against a former team. Injuries,
experience and the possibility of splitting playing
time are also a factor. In some cases, certain
players are must-starts every week and rarely
drop below the top spots or are removed unless
they are injured. After all of the weekly games
are finished be sure to check our waiver wire
column, studs and duds, a who's hot, and who's
not report plus more in our fantasy
football guide.
