Derek
Anderson |
He'll
have trouble this week against the
Ravens ... and the Brady Quinn chatter
will resume. |
Brian
Griese |
Now
that we know for sure he'll start,
he could be worth a waiver pickup. |
Matt
Schaub |
With
WRs Andre Johnson and Jacoby Jones
both on the shelf, Schaub has his work
cut out for him. |
Brian
Leonard |
With
Jackson out, Leonard gets the call.
He'll run the ball plenty and catch
a few passes, and he's definitely a
viable bye-week fill-in. |
Sammy
Morris |
It's
clear now the Pats consider him a goal-line
back, and in a game like this, there
should be no shortage of scoring opportunities. |
Kenny Watson |
Should Johnson's
hamstring injury limit him or force
him from the contest, Watson will get
the call. |
Shaun
McDonald |
If
Calvin Johnson has to miss any action
because of his back, McDonald and Furrey
will see an uptick in their numbers. |
Roddy White |
White has
developed a nice chemistry with Harrington,
but the cat is now out of the bag. |
Brandon
Marshall |
Marshall
has done nothing but back up his preseason
sleeper status. |
Dwayne Bowe |
Quietly, he's
developing into a bona fide fantasy
option, and Herm Edwards sure seems
to love him. |
Wes
Welker |
It's
Welker, not Donte' Stallworth, who
has caught Tom Brady's eye as the second
WR option. He'll get Brady's attention
again against the Bengals |
Nate Burleson |
Quietly making
fans forget about the preseason hype
for DJ Hackett who is out till Mid
October |
Jeff
King |
Slowly
becoming a nice sleeper pick. I'd get
him on my roster now but wait until
Jake gets back to 100 percent before
playing him. |
Texans DST |
You might
think any defense that faces the Falcons
warrants fantasy consideration, but
that's not automatic. |
Cowboys
DST |
Improving
defense, and the Rams look bad. |

Week 5 Fantasy
Football Not So Hot Players |
|
Player |
Details |
J.P.
Losman |
A
sprained MCL likely will sideline
him until after the team's Week 6
bye. Nice cheap shot Vince! |
Matt
Leinart |
There's
a QB controversy brewing, and although
Leinart has the starting job for
now, Warner is going to play in some
packages. |
Alex
Smith |
Good
news and bad news for Smith owners.
The good news is that Smith had his
best offensive output of the season
last week. Bad news: that was last
week. |
Deuce
McAllister |
Deuce
is out for the season. |
Chris
Brown |
Bye
In Week 5, and doesn't look like
he's going to get more than 15 touches
every week. |
Tatum Bell |
With Kevin
Jones back in action, Bell's days
as the starter, or even a fantasy
option, could be numbered. |
Devery
Henderson |
Has
he even been on the field in the
first 3 weeks of the season? He was
supposed to step up, he forgot. |
Mark Clayton |
If there's
any matchup that will get him going,
it's one against the Browns. |
Donte'
Stallworth |
Versus
the Bengals Stallworth has a
watch-and-see game, and a good time
for him to make a statement. |
Reggie Brown |
Is it time
to cut bait on Reggie? Curtis looks
like the hotter option. |
Randy
McMichael |
One
of our Week 3 DUDS of the week. He
was a big free agent signing for
the Rams and is doing nothing to
earn his $$$. |
L.J.
Smith |
Recoving
from injuries, and he didn't play
last week. He'll need time to heal. |
Nate
Kaeding |
As
the Chargers' offense goes, so does
Kaeding. |
Dolphins
DST |
Miami's
secondary has been shaky at times
and Oakland's offense looks better
than last year's. |
Panthers
DST |
They
should be able to bottle up the Bucs
running game and then turn their
attention to the pass. |
