14, 2006 – It’s the type of Saturday
that college football fans live for and tailgate
diehards dream about. Seven blockbuster showdowns
between ranked teams, including two SEC barnburners
and a classic match-up between storied rivals
Michigan and Notre Dame. And, according to odds

Supremacy in the SEC Western
Division will be on the line in Alabama as the

Auburn, coming off an impressive 34-0 win over
Mississippi State, is listed as a three point
favorite. Meanwhile, the SEC Eastern Division
will be having a showdown of its own as No. 13
Tennessee looks to upset the three point favorite
Florida Gators in Knoxville.
Another marquee match-up
features the Fighting Irish hosting the Michigan
Wolverines at Notre Dame Stadium. Although the
Irish are listed as 6.5 favorites, Michigan will
be fighting to knock off the Irish and win their
first road game opener in seven years.

football – and this week will certainly

chomping at the bit for the Ohio State-Texas match-up,
and now this weekend there are 14 ranked teams
