NEW YORK – (PRESS RELEASE) -- There
will not be a shortage of offensive firepower
on the field this evening as the red-hot Bengals
take on the slumping Colts. With all the offensive
weaponry running around the RCA Dome, it isn’t
surprising that the TOTAL is sitting at a whopping
54.5 points. The public obviously feels that this
contest will live up to the high scoring hype,
as 75% of the early action at Sportsbook.com is
on the lofty OVER.
Those that prefer the
UNDER, could be on to something though. First
off, even though each team’s strength is
considered their offense, both teams have covered
the UNDER on more occasions this season. Secondly,
the Colts have had trouble putting points on the
board as of recent. Over the last five games,
they have scored over 17 points only once. The
Bengals are gaining momentum at the perfect time
mainly due to great improvements on the defensive
side of the ball. Over their recent four game
winning streak, they have allowed only 8.25 PPG.
Finally, with the Colts’ rushing defense
woes, the Bengals could look to controlling the
clock on ground with workhorse Rudi Johnson. With
all of these trends in mind, the 25% who are betting
the UNDER might be getting a little extra value.
As far as the SIDE
goes, tonight’s game could determine whether
or not the public cashes in this weekend.
