Well, if anyone had any doubts
as to whether or not the Bears would hold on to
the top spot, I guess we can put those to rest.
Meanwhile, big wins by the Colts and Patriots
cemented their statuses as very good teams to
take on the money line. As for clubs that we’ve
lost a little confidence in? The Eagles, Saints
and Vikings have all slipped somewhat.

- Bears - A dominant performance at home
was just what the doctor ordered. Another easy
win is coming this week vs. Miami.

- Colts - Nice win in Denver. Peyton was
absolutely perfect in the victory. The only trouble
spot is that run defense.

- Patriots - Anymore doubts about the
Pats being a contender? Didn’t think so.
A win this week against Indy and they become a
favorite.

- Giants - The defense continues to get
better, the running game is tremendous and the
quarterback is getting more confidence.

- Broncos - Watching their defense get
shredded like that has to be a concern, but at
least the offense moved the ball consistently.

- Chargers - San Diego continues to rack
up the wins versus inferior opponents. But, will
they do it against the teams they need to beat?

- Falcons - Wow, is Michael Vick finally
a threat to run AND pass? If the banged up defense
can improve, ATL could be for real.

- Ravens - So far, so good for the offense.
Though, one week under Brian Billick’s play
calling does not make a potent attack.

- Saints
- Injuries now are the concern in the
Big Easy. Can this team overcome its first bit
of adversity amidst a tough part of the schedule?

- Cowboys
- Tony Romo has put bettors back in the
money line frame of mind when it comes to the
Cowboys. Let’s see how they do.

- Jaguars - Will someone please tell me
why David Garrard is not the permanent starter?
All he does is win!

- Chiefs - We have to reward a team that
has fought so hard to make something of their
season. Don’t rule out KC just yet.
Honorable Mentions
Bengals (Defensively, they
are just awful right now), Seahawks (Man, do they
need their QB and RB back in a hurry or what?),
Rams (Was that performance in SD indicative of
their true colors?), Eagles (This bye week could
not come at a better time), Panthers (Flip a coin
and you’ll have a better chance of predicting
which version turns up each week).
