quarter and was replaced by Charlie Batch. Michael

completing 15-of-20 passes for 235 yards and three
TDs in the first half. He racked up 238 yards
on 16 completions before leaving the game, as
the Steelers (2-4) lost for the fourth time in

two touchdowns. Wide receiver Hines Ward had eight
receptions for 171 yards and three scores.

17, Carolina 14
Cincinnati,
OH (My
Sportsbook) - Kevin Kaesviharn's interception
of a Jake Delhomme pass with 3:50 remaining allowed
Cincinnati to hold off Carolina, 17-14, at Paul
Brown Stadium. Rudi Johnson rushed for 101 yards
on 26 carries for the Bengals (4-2), who righted
the ship after dropping two in a row since beginning
the year 3-0. They were coming off a crushing
14-13 defeat at the hands of the Buccaneers last
Sunday. Carson Palmer finished 23- of-39 passing
for 240 yards and two touchdowns. Steve Smith
had eight catches for 126 yards for the Panthers
(4-3), who were riding a four-game winning streak.
Delhomme ended just 20-of-34 passing for 238 yards
with two touchdowns and one interception. He was
coming off a career-best 365-yard performance
last week at Baltimore.
Final Score: Houston
27, Jacksonville 7
Houston,
TX (My
Sportsbook) - David Carr completed 25-of-34
passes for 224 yards and two touchdowns, as the
Houston Texans stunned the Jacksonville Jaguars
with a 27-7 victory at Reliant Stadium. Andre
Johnson hauled in eight passes for 106 yards and

Jacksonville in total yards, 349-220. Byron Leftwich,
who came into the game with a sore left ankle,
went 14-for-28 for 125 yards, as the Jaguars (3-3)

about pulling Leftwich out of the game in the
second half. Fred Taylor ran for 84 yards but
lost a key fumble in the third quarter that led
to seven points for Houston.
Final Score: Kansas City
30, San Diego 27
Kansas
City, MO (My
Sportsbook) - Lawrence Tynes nailed a game-winning
53- yard field goal with six seconds left, as
the Kansas City Chiefs edged the San Diego Chargers,
30-27, at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs got the
ball back at their own 18-yard line with 33 seconds
remaining following a San Diego punt. Damon Huard
led Kansas City's offense down the field on a
15-yard pass to Larry Johnson and a pair of passes
to Tony Gonzalez totaling 37 yards. That set up
a 48-yard field goal try, but the Chiefs were
penalized after a false start by Kris Wilson.
However, Tynes nailed his career-long kick. Huard
completed 15-of-27 passes for 232 yards and a
pair of touchdowns for the Chiefs (3-3), who have
won three of four. Johnson rushed for 132 yards
on 28 carries, while Gonzalez caught six balls
for 138 yards. Philip Rivers completed 25-of-43
passes for 266 yards for the Chargers (4-2), who

for the Packers, who won coming off their bye
and snapped a two-game skid. Brett Favre completed
19-of-35 passes for 206 yards with two touchdowns,
and joined Hall of Famer Dan Marino as the only
quarterbacks in NFL history with 55,000 yards,

passing yards. Donald Driver caught 10 passes
for 93 yards and a touchdown, and surpassed the
5,000 yard receiving mark for his career for the
Packers (2-4). Joey Harrington went 33-of-62 for
414 yards and two touchdowns, but threw three
interceptions for the Dolphins (1-6). Harrington's
62 pass attempts set record for a regular-season
game for Miami. Marty Booker hauled in seven passes
for 110 yards and a touchdown while Ronnie Brown
rushed for 59 yards and had five receptions for
78 yards for Miami, which lost its fourth straight.
Final Score: NY Jets
31, Detroit 24
East
Rutherford, NJ (My
Sportsbook) - Leon Washington carried the
ball 20 times for 129 yards and a pair of touchdowns
as the New York Jets survived a second half comeback
for the second straight week to beat the Detroit
Lions, 31-24, at Giants Stadium. Chad Pennington
completed 16-of-22 passes for 189 yards with a
touchdown and an interception for the Jets (4-3),
who equaled the amount of wins they had last season.

touchdowns and a pair of picks for the Lions (1-6),
who have lost the last two meetings. Mike Furrey
caught nine passes for 109 yards and a touchdown
while Kevin Jones gained 86 yards on 15 carries
for Detroit, which was playing without defensive
tackle Shaun Rogers, who was suspended for four
games on Wednesday by the NFL for violating the
league's substance abuse policy.
Final Score: Tampa Bay
23, Philadelphia 21
Tampa,
FL (My
Sportsbook) - Matt Bryant hit an improbable
62-yard field goal as time expired, as the Tampa
Bay Buccaneers stunned the Philadelphia Eagles,
23-21, at Raymond James Stadium. The Bucs (2-4)
blew a 17-0 lead and trailed by a point after
Donovan McNabb engineered a late touchdown drive,
capped by a 52-yard pass to Brian Westbrook with
33 seconds left. However, Bruce Gradkowski was
able to get his team close enough for Bryant's
longshot attempt in the final seconds. The 62-yarder
is a team record, and is just one yard off the
all-time mark, set by Tom Dempsey and later matched
by Jason Elam. Gradkowski ended 13-of-26 for 104
yards without a touchdown or an interception,
while Cadillac Williams paced the ground game
with 82 yards on 23 carries. The Bucs have won
two straight, having edged Cincinnati, 14-13,
last week on a last-minute touchdown. The story
early was Ronde Barber and the Tampa Bay defense,
which forced four turnovers on the day. Barber
returned a pair of McNabb interceptions for touchdowns.
Westbrook rushed for 101 yards on 13 carries and
also had seven catches for 113 yards for the Eagles
(4-3), who have dropped two in a row. McNabb threw

TD passes in the second half. He finished 22-of-35
for 302 yards on the day.
Final Score: Denver 17,
Cleveland 7

and a touchdown, and the Broncos defense did the
rest as Denver held off the Cleveland Browns,
17-7. Javon Walker hauled in nine passes for 107
yards to lead all receivers for the Broncos (5-1),
who were coming off a 13-3 win over the Oakland
Raiders. Jake Plummer completed 20-of-41 passes
for 209 yards and a touchdown, but was also intercepted
twice in another shaky start. The quarterback
has become a favorite target of disgruntled fans,
at the helm of an offense which came in averaging
just 12.4 points-per-game but heads home from
Cleveland in first place. Five different receivers
reached double- digits in receiving yards for
the Browns (1-5) but Joe Jurevicius nabbed the
only touchdown pass of the game, catching four
balls for 40 yards. Reuben Droughns also contributed
33 yards rushing on 12 carries but combined with
Josh Cribbs for three fumbles on the day. Charlie
Frye finished 19- of-33 passing for 149 yards
with one touchdown and one interception. He came
in leading the AFC in fourth-quarter passing yardage
but couldn't bring his team back from a 17-point
hole.

36, Washington 22
Indianapolis,
IN (My
Sportsbook) - Peyton Manning completed 25-of-35
passes for 342 yards and four touchdowns, as the
Indianapolis Colts remained unbeaten after downing
the struggling Washington Redskins, 36-22, at
the RCA Dome. The Colts, who trailed 14-13 a halftime,
became the ninth team to attain their second straight
6-0 start to a season. Manning now has 256 career
touchdown passes, passing Dan Fouts (254) and
Sonny Jurgensen (255) for 10th on the all- time
list; and he passed Jim Hart (34,665) for 14th
on the career yardage list. Reggie Wayne caught
seven passes for 122 yards with a score for the
Colts (6-0), who have won 29 of their last 34
games, including postseason, and are also 19-3
at the RCA Dome over the last three years. Joseph
Addai rushed for 85 yards on 11 attempts for the
Colts, who are also an impressive 28-8 at home
under head coach Tony Dungy. Marvin Harrison caught
seven passes for 73 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
He passed Irving Fryar (12,785) for eighth on
the all-time yards receiving list, and tied Lenny
Moore's (113) franchise record for most touchdowns
scored and ninth most in NFL history. Mark Brunell
completed 27-of-37 passes for 226 yards and two
touchdowns for the Redskins (2-5), who are riding
a three-game losing streak. Ladell Betts rushed
for 52 yards on 10 carries, and Chris Cooley had
four catches for 42 yards and a score.
Final Score: Oakland
22, Arizona 9
Oakland,
CA (My
Sportsbook) - Andrew Walter threw for 263
yards and a touchdown before leaving with an injury,
as the Raiders won their first game of the season,
22-9, over the Arizona Cardinals at McAfee Coliseum.
Randy Moss caught seven balls for 129 yards and
one score for Oakland (1-5), which overcame five
turnovers. Also making contributions to the victory
were running back Justin Fargas, who gained 66
yards on 23 carries, kicker Sebastian Janikowski's
two field goals. Walter completed 17-of-30 passes
and was intercepted once as the Raiders snapped
an 11-game skid going back to last season. Walter
left the game with a hamstring injury in the third
quarter. Rookie quarterback Matt Leinart had a
subpar day for the Cardinals (1-6), who have lost
six straight. He completed only 13-of-32 passes
for 203 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions.
Final Score: Minnesota
31, Seattle 13
Seattle,
WA (My
Sportsbook) - Chester Taylor ran for a career-high
169 yards and stunned the Seattle crowd with an
electrifying 95-yard touchdown run as the Minnesota
Vikings upset the Seahawks, 31-13. With the victory
the Vikings (4-2) snapped the Seahawks' (4-2)
12-game home winning streak. It was the first
regular season loss by Seattle at Qwest Field
since they stumbled to Dallas, 43-39, on December
16, 2004. Seattle was again without the services
of the league's reigning MVP, running back Shaun
Alexander, who sat out his third straight game
with a cracked bone in his left foot. The contest
also marked the return to Seattle for All-Pro
guard Steve Hutchinson, who bolted the Seahawks
during the offseason to sign a lucrative seven-year
free-agent contract with Minnesota. Hutchinson
earned three Pro Bowl trips during his five-year
tenure with Seattle, and was a big reason for
Alexander's prolific success over the past few
seasons.
