WEEKLY PRESS RELEASES
Week

What a game of fluctuating fortunes
this years NFL Super bowl was. It looked to
me that Seattle started better than Pittsburgh,
but Pittsburgh went to the halftime break in
front with a 7-3 lead. Pittsburgh came out after
halftime and scored a touchdown and then was
only 7 yards away from another which would have
almost sealed the win for them, but Ben Roethlisberger
threw an interception to keep Seattle alive.
Unfortunately for Seattle Matt Hasselbeck returned
the interception favor and Pittsburgh came out
winners 21-10. With Pittsburgh celebrating even
when Seattle had the ball and was driving downfield
and the game virtually over , we were still
‘sweating’ this last drive by Seattle.
With the spread being between 3.5 and 4.5 for
the last two weeks, a Pittsburgh victory by
3 or 4 points would not have been very kind
to us at all. Thankfully, Stevens dropped the
pass at the one yard line on forth down and
the rest is history.
The amount of money wagered on
this year’s super bowl was astounding.
The game total alone we had well over $2 million
wagered on whether it would go over or under
the 47 points. The Pittsburgh result was ok,
but while the ‘sharper’ money for
the last two weeks was on Seattle, we had a
big amount of money come on Pittsburgh just
before the game kicked off. Proposition bets
on the Super bowl are always popular. The individual
totals on some of the main players were the
more heavily bet props, For example, J Bettis
under or over 40.5 rushing yards - Public bet
Bettis UNDER heavily
S Alexander under or over 90.5
rushing yards - Public bet Over
W Parker under or over 57.5 rushing
yards - Public bet Over Heavily
B Roethlisberger under or over
219.5 passing yards- Public bet Under
M Hasslebeck under or over 240.5
passing yards- Public bet Under
Also the the ‘Player to
score the first touchdown’ (Roethlisberger
was 20/1)was a great prop for action, aswell
as The ‘player to win the Super bowl MVP’
H Ward was 9/1 but luckily for us, not many
people bet Ward.
Well our focus now at www.betcris.com
will be on March Madness which is just around
the corner, and I personally am looking forward
to the developments of this years NFL Draft
and if Reggie Bush will be taken number one
overall.
I hope everyone enjoyed the Super
bowl, and bet a winner of some sorts.
Regards Shane Catford
