Review Of Offshore Wagering Events - Nov 20th

Michigan
and Ohio State lived up to all the hype with Michigan
always trailing, but did only lose by a field
goal. Action on the game was absolutely amazing
with lots of money wagered on both teams. NFL
was a better week for our customers, and had it
not been for a few key results, (One being Tennessee
defeating the 13 point favorite, Philadelphia)
then it would have been a huge ‘Teaser’
week for bettors. We did experience some value
bettors willing to bet some big outsiders on the
money line for a straight up win, and considering
the results of the last month, it is certainly
worthy of consideration. One player in particular
out laid $10000 on Tennessee to win at odds of
+650 to win a cool $65000. A gutsy bet, but I
am sure he was extremely happy when Donovan McNabb
was carted off on a stretcher.
Basketball is now into full
swing and it seems that the line movements are
in general getting the cash. One thing I wish
just didn’t happen was the scheduling on
Saturday and Sunday while NFL and College football
still has a full schedule, it really tests us
out trying to keep on top of all the games and
halftimes, but thankfully the overlap starts to
reduce in the next week or two.
Best games for the house…
Ohio State could not shake
off Michigan and it looked at one stage that the
‘number would fall’, that being Ohio
State winning by 7 points. The line bounced between
6 ½ and 7 points all week and had the game
landed on a Ohio State victory by 7 points, it
would have been a disaster for us, but as it was
the Ohio State 42-39 victory was great, mainly
because of the amount of bets placed on this ‘perfect’
rivalry match up.
Indianapolis Colts were undefeated
going to Dallas and when we opened Dallas as a
2 ½ point favorite, we were flooded with
money on the Colts. We finally closed the game
at a ‘Take your pick’ and even had
the Colts as the favorite at one stage, but thankfully
for us Dallas won 21-14.
Best games for the public…
Another rivalry game which
produced some great action was Kansas State at
Kansas. Kansas opened a 3 point favorite and closed
higher at 3 ½ points with tremendous betting
support for Kansas. Kansas prevailed 39-20 and
covered the spread easily.
Hawaii continues to put up
big numbers and this week was no different with
their 54-17 victory over San Jose State. Hawaii
opened a 22 ½ point favorite and closed
at 24 ½ points and they easily got the
money but the final ‘nail in our coffin’
was the game total. We opened the total at 73
and was as low as 71, so when it ‘fell’71
it did not help us at all.
One of Sunday’s bets
NFL games for our players was Miami winning 24-20
against Minnesota. Miami was a 5 point favorite
and closed at 3 (-125) points. Needless to say
when the game score finished on the 4 point margin,
it wasn’t pretty for us here at www.betcris.com.
