betting lineup for the weekend.
Lets get to it......
2005 NBA Finals In the Spurs'
previous two title runs, winning the West
basically guaranteed the championship. It'll
be different this time, even though the Spurs
have the most athletic and versatile team
they've ever fielded, the defending champs
from Detroit have their own defensive prowess,
resilience and championship pedigree. San
Antonio won game 1 last night, but this series
should go to 6 or 7 games.

The 2005 Belmont Stakes
Often referred to as the "Test of the Champion",
the Belmont Stakes takes place this Saturday,
June 11, from the suburb city of Elmont just
outside New York City . Going into this race,
Afleet Alex is on a lot of people's minds
as the odds on favorite to be victorious.
While there won't be a Triple Crown winner
this year, a one million dollar purse is definitely
a big enough incentive for these horses. Last
year it was Birdstone who came out of nowhere
to deny Smarty Jones of the Triple Crown.
Because of its length, this is a very grueling
race for these three year old thoroughbred
horses. Many can consider this the rubber
match between Giacomo and Afleet Alex after
the two horses split the first two legs of
the Triple Crown. Both of these colts will
be hard pressed to win again as this year's
field is very competitive.
