as Pittsburgh used a potent running game to
defeat Chicago, 21-9, at snowy Heinz Field.
Willie Parker added 68 yards on the ground,
as the Steelers ran for 190 yards against a
Bears defense that was minus safeties Mike Brown,
who had a calf injury, and Chris Harris, who
sat out with a knee ailment. Ben Roethlisberger
was an efficient 13-of-20 for 173 yards and
a touchdown for Pittsburgh (8-5), which snapped
a three-game losing streak and stayed alive
in the AFC playoff picture. Thomas Jones ran
for 72 yards and a touchdown for Chicago (9-4),
which had its eight-game winning streak come
to an end. Kyle Orton completed 17-of-35 passes
for 207 yards for the Bears, but struggled mightily
until the game was out of reach.

- Shayne Graham's 37-yard field goal as time
expired lifted the Cincinnati Bengals to a 23-20
victory over the Cleveland Browns at Paul Brown
Stadium. Rudi Johnson rushed for 169 yards,
124 in the first half, and a touchdown on 30
carries for the Bengals (10-3), who have won
three games in a row and five of six. The win
also kept the Bengals two games ahead of the
Pittsburgh Steelers for the top spot in the
AFC North. Carson Palmer was less then stellar
in the win, completing 13-of-27 passes for a
season-low 93 yards with one touchdown pass.
T.J. Houshmandzadeh hauled in six passes for
53 yards with a touchdown catch for Cincinnati,
while Chad Johnson was held to just two catches
for 22 yards. Charlie Frye threw for 138 yards
with one touchdown pass and one interception
on 16-of-24 passing for the Browns (4-9), who
have lost three games in a row. Reuben Droughns
finished with 74 yards on the ground for Cleveland.

- Tennessee's Rob Bironas snapped a tie with
a 21-yard field goal with 10 seconds remaining
and Kris Brown missed a 31-yard kick for Houston
with no time on the clock, as the Titans pulled
out a 13-10 victory over the Texans at The Coliseum.
Pacman Jones returned a punt for the tying score
in the third quarter for the Titans (4-9), who
have won two of their last three games. Houston
(1-12) has lost six in a row. Domanick Davis
had a big game for Houston, rushing 22 times
for 139 yards and catching a team-high seven
passes for an additional 50. David Carr completed
17-of-26 passes for 116 yards with a touchdown
in defeat. He was sacked six times. Steve McNair
threw for 208 yards, completing 18-of-30 passes
for Tennessee. He hit nine different receivers.
Chris Brown led the Titan ground game with 53
yards on 16 carries and also caught three passes
for 49 yards.

- Peyton Manning threw for 324 yards with a
pair of touchdowns and Mike Vanderjagt kicked
four field goals, as the Indianapolis Colts
captured the AFC South title and wrapped up
home-field advantage throughout the conference
playoffs with a 26-18 victory over the Jacksonville
Jaguars at Alltel Stadium. Manning completed
24-of-36 passes, hitting Marvin Harrison with
both scoring strikes in the first half. Harrison
had six catches for 137 yards and Edgerrin James
chipped in 154 total yards, 93 rushing on 30
carries and 61 receiving on nine catches, in
the victory. The Colts (13-0) became the fourth
team to start a season with 13 consecutive wins.
The Jaguars (9-4), meanwhile, had a five-game
winning streak stopped and will have to play
for a wild card berth. Jacksonville quarterback
David Garrard, making his second straight start
in place of the injured Byron Leftwich, completed
26-of-35 passes for 250 yards with a touchdown
in defeat. He also ran for the Jaguars' first
score in the fourth quarter. Fred Taylor returned
to the Jacksonville lineup after missing two
games with an ankle injury and rushed for only
19 yards on 10 carries.

- Tom Brady threw a pair of touchdown passes
and also ran for a score, as New England trounced
Buffalo, 35-7, at a snowy Ralph Wilson Stadium.
Brady went 29-of-38 for 329 yards and also threw
two interceptions in the game, while Corey Dillon
rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries
for New England (8-5), which has won four of
its last five. J.P. Losman was a lowly 10-of-27
for 181 yards with three interceptions and a
late TD pass for the Bills (4-9), who have dropped
four straight. Willis McGahee was held to three
yards on eight attempts, while Buffalo as a
team was limited to just 14 net rushing yards.
Lee Evans caught four passes for 83 yards and
Josh Reed had two receptions for 76 yards, including
a 51-yard score, in the loss.

- Mike Nugent kicked four field goals and Cedric
Houston ran for 74 yards and a touchdown, as
the New York Jets defeated the Oakland Raiders,
26-10, at the Meadowlands. Brooks Bollinger
was 14-of-26 for 119 yards with a touchdown
for the Jets (3-10), who put an end to a seven-
game losing streak. Houston filled in admirably
for injured New York running back Curtis Martin,
who was inactive due to a sore right knee that
will cause him to undergo season-ending arthroscopic
surgery later this week. Marques Tuiasosopo
made his first start of the season and just
the second of his career for the Raiders (4-9),
who have dropped three straight. Tuiasosopo,
who started in place of Kerry Collins, struggled
mightily on the day as he ended 14-of-26 for
124 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions.
LaMont Jordan, who spent four years with the
Jets and served primarily as a backup to Martin,
played for the first time against his former
team, but was a non-factor. He had only 49 rushing
yards in the loss.

- Brad Johnson threw for 146 yards and the Minnesota
defense picked off Ryan Fitzpatrick five times
as the Vikings defeated the St. Louis Rams 27-13
at the Metrodome. Koren Robinson, Michael Bennett
and Ciatrick Fason all had rushing touchdowns
for the Vikings (8-5). Fitzpatrick was 26-of-45
for 235 yards and ran for a score, while Torry
Holt finished with 10 receptions for 95 yards
for the Rams (5-8), who have lost their last
two games. Isaac Bruce had five receptions for
66 yards and moved into 10th place in all- time
receiving yards with 12,181, passing Charlie
Joiner, who had 12,146 yards. He also became
the 14th player in NFL history to pass the 800
reception mark.

- Carnell "Cadillac" Williams rushed
for 112 yards with two touchdowns on 29 carries,
as Tampa Bay defeated Carolina, 20-10, in a
key NFC South Division battle at Bank of America
Stadium. Chris Simms ended 20-of-27 for 138
yards for the Buccaneers (9-4), who have won
two straight and four of their last five games.
Jake Delhomme finished 21-of-33 for 220 yards
with a touchdown and an interception for the
Panthers (9-4), who lost for only the second
time in the past seven games. Steve Smith had
five catches for 103 yards while DeShaun Foster
ran for only 46 yards in the loss, which snapped
Carolina's five-game series winning streak.

- Jay Feely kicked four field goals, including
a 36-yarder with 3:55 left in overtime, to catapult
the New York Giants to a 26-23 victory over
the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial
Field. Feely's kick was set up by a sack and
forced fumble from Osi Umenyiora, as the Giants
(9-4) won their second straight contest to remain
a game ahead of the Dallas Cowboys atop the
NFC East. Eli Manning completed 28-of-44 passes
for 312 yards with a touchdown and overcame
three interceptions from the fourth quarter
on, and Tiki Barber rushed 32 times for 124
yards and caught Manning's TD toss as the Giants
swept the Eagles in the season series. Tight
end Jeremy Shockey caught 10 passes for 107
yards and the Giants' defense came up big by
sacking Mike McMahon six times. McMahon completed
14-of-32 passes for 190 yards, while Ryan Moats
carried the ball 11 times for 114 yards with
two long scores and Reggie Brown had five catches
for 72 yards.

- Matt Hasselbeck threw for 226 yards and four
touchdowns, as the Seattle Seahawks won their
franchise-record ninth straight game by routing
the San Francisco 49ers, 41-3, at Qwest Field.
Hasselbeck completed 21-of-25 passes and spread
the ball to eight different receivers, including
six to Bobby Engram for 65 yards and two touchdowns.
Hasselbeck was also intercepted once. Shaun
Alexander rushed for 108 yards and a score for
the Seahawks, who have won their last two games
by a combined 83-3 margin. Seattle (11-2), the
NFC West champions, stayed on the inside track
for home field advantage throughout the conference
playoffs with the victory. Alex Smith completed
just 9-of-22 passes for 77 yards and an interception.
San Francisco (2-11) continued its track toward
a high first-round draft pick with its sixth
straight loss. The 49ers are 1-11 since an opening
day victory.

a the go-ahead touchdown in the third quarter,
as the Washington Redskins slipped past the

while Santana Moss hauled in seven passes for
56 yards for the Redskins (7-6), who have now
won two games in a row and remain alive in the
playoff hunt. Mark Brunell struggled for the

won five of their last six games. Ashley Lelie
added two catches for 42 yards. Tatum Bell paced
the Denver ground game with 63 yards on 16 carries.
Kyle Boller completed 23-of-39 passes for 251
yards with a touchdown pass, but threw two interceptions
for the Ravens (4-9), who lost for the sixth
time in their last eight games. Mark Clayton
hauled in seven passes for 105 yards and a touchdown
and Todd Heap added 65 yards receiving on five
catches in the loss. Chester Taylor rushed for
59 yards on 20 carries for Baltimore.

a thrilling 31-28 victory over Kansas City at
Texas Stadium. Bledsoe completed 22-of-34 passes
to help the Cowboys (8-5) stop a two-game losing
streak and remain one game behind the Giants
in the NFC East race. Terry Glenn had 138 yards
on six catches and recorded both a rushing and
receiving touchdown. Larry Johnson racked up
143 rushing yards and a career- high three touchdowns
on 26 carries for the Chiefs (8-5), who had
a three-game win streak halted and are tied
with San Diego and Pittsburgh in the battle
for the AFC's final wild- card spot. Trent Green
compiled 340 yards on 20-of-32 passing with
a touchdown.

a 28-yarder, 5:17 into overtime, gave Green
Bay a 16-13 victory over Detroit in an NFC North
matchup at a frigid Lambeau Field. Samkon Gado
rushed for a Packers' rookie-record 171 yards
on 29 carries and had Green Bay's lone touchdown
with a 64-yard burst in the second quarter.
Brett Favre went 21-of-31 for 170 yards with
an interception and became the first player
in NFL history to record 14 seasons of over
3,000 passing yards for Green Bay (3-10), which
snapped a three-game slide. Favre had shared
the record with Dan Marino. The Lions (4-9),
who dropped their fourth in a row and fell to
0-2 under interim head coach Dick Jauron, lost
for the 15th straight time to the Packers on
the road. Detroit hasn't won in Wisconsin since
1991. Jeff Garcia finished 13-of-24 for 112
yards and a touchdown for Detroit.
