The NFL’s best defensive
team – the Indianapolis Colts –
look to tackle the offensive charge of the
St Louis Rams on Monday Night Football while
one of the game’s most enigmatic figures
– Ricky Williams – returns to
the field in what promises to be an eventful
week on the gridiron.
The Colts (5-0) opened as 14-point
favorites as Bodog.com gears up for Week 6
of the NFL season.
“Lots of great games
are in store for Week 6,” says Calvin
Ayre, Founder and CEO of Bodog.com. “The
Monday night game will be especially exciting
as the Rams will be hungry for a win after
a disappointing loss to Seattle.”
After five games, the Colts
have positioned themselves to be one of the
most formidable defenses the NFL has ever
seen. A large part of their success has to
do with the stellar play of defensive end
Robert Mathis, who has instilled fear in opposing
quarterbacks.

The Colts’ offense isn’t
so bad, either. Peyton Manning and Marvin
Harrison will be aiming to set the NFL record
for most touchdowns by a quarterback-wide
receiver tandem when they host St. Louis in
front of a national television audience. The
Rams (2-3) will be without head coach Mike
Martz, who is on indefinite leave while he
battles a heart condition.
Meanwhile, Williams is expected
to suit up for the Miami Dolphins when they
visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-1) on Sunday.
After serving a four-game suspension for violating
the league’s drug policy, Williams joins
rookie running back Ronnie Brown in the backfield
– perhaps for only one game.
Trade rumors have surrounded
Williams and talk of a deal has heated up
as the Oct. 18 trade deadline approaches.
Will the addition of Williams boost the Dolphins
(2-2) over the Buccaneers? Bodog.com bookmakers
have the Buccaneers listed as 4.5-point favorites.
