Okay, if this week isn't
a 2-1 or 3-0 week, then I will officially retire
as a football picksman (is that a word?). We have
not had the best luck in this section, but are
still up overall in all of our picks for the season.
So take note, because if you bet all three of
these games and they all lose, I will personally
put some player points in your account. I am pumped,
let's get to it.
Carolina +3 @ Cincinnati
The Panthers have won four
in a row, including a big win in Baltimore, where
they passed for over 360 yards against a great
Ravens defense. Meanwhile, the Bengals have dropped
two games in a row and Rudi Johnson did not look
good versus the Bucs. Carolina contiues to get
good protection up front, and that bodes well
for Jake Delhomme. The Bengals are playing decently
on defense, but are prone to giving up the big
play. Steve Smith plans on playing. Prediction:
take the points and the Panthers.
Pittsburgh -2.5 @ Atlanta
The Steelers finally got
some big plays out of their defense last week-
something they had not been getting very much
of lately. This week, they'll play a team very
adept at the run, which is only good when you
have a lead. We love Pittsburgh. Big Ben had a
good game and we're pretty sure it won't be his
last. Prediction: Lay the points and take the
champs.
New York Giants +3 @ Dallas
The Giants once again got
a good performance out of their defensive line.
If Strahan and the boys up front keep pressuring
the quarterback as they have done in recent weeks,
then this one will go their way. New York contained
Michael Vick last week, I imagine Drew Bledsoe
is a little slower. Prediction: Take the points
and the Giants.
