5) Washington (+9) at Indianapolis
Odds
Washington is 2-4 after a
25-22 home loss to Tennessee. Another loss against
Indy would put them in rough shape heading into
the bye-week. Despite Washington’s struggles
this year, and that this game has almost a double
digit spread, it is still one of the more interesting
games on the Week 7 schedule.
Indianapolis is 5-0
and coming off the bye-week. While we are not
hearing all the talk about an undefeated season
like last year, the Colts are the only unblemished
team left except for Chicago. The Colts’
defense has been atrocious against the run which
could cause them problems against Washington’s
Clinton Portis. Week
7 NFL Point Spread Indianapolis (-9)
4) Minnesota (+6.5) at Seattle
Odds
Minnesota is 3-2 and coming
off the bye-week. One thing you can say about
the Vikings is that they play close games. Four
of their five contests have been decided by five
or less points, and the other game versus Detroit
(26-17 win) was a two point contest with under
two minutes remaining.
Seattle improved to
4-1 on the season after a 30-28 win at St. Louis.
The Seahawks were fortunate to win that game after
almost blowing it late. They must play a more
consistent game this week against Minnesota, but
this is a squad that usually plays far better
at home. Week
7 NFL Point Spread Seattle (-6.5)
3) Pittsburgh (-1.5) at Atlanta
Odds
These two teams are coming
off completely different performances last week.
Pittsburgh demolished Kansas City (45-7) at home
to improve to 2-3. Atlanta is 3-2 after losing
at home to the Giants. Of course, things are known
to change dramatically in the NFL week-to-week.
Pittsburgh’s
schedule gets much easier after this week, so
if they can get back to .500, the playoffs are
right back in their sights. Atlanta is playing
their third home game in a row, but unless Michael
Vick gets his completion percentage up, they will
have trouble winning anywhere. Week
7 NFL Point Spread Falcons (+1.5) at Atlanta
2) Carolina (+3.5) at Cincinnati
Odds
Carolina is coming off a
win at Baltimore, and that means they have won
four straight games since dropping their first
two. They are also 4-0 with receiver Steve Smith
playing. The Panthers got a break last week with
Baltimore quarterback, Steve McNair getting injured,
but it was still an impressive win.
Cincinnati (3-2) has
lost two straight games, one before their bye-week
to New England, and this past week at Tampa Bay.
Their once fearsome offense has gone into hibernation,
and they are hoping that the home crowd brings
them out of their funk. There is almost too much
offensive talent for that not to happen.
Week 7 NFL Point
Spread Bengals (-3.5)
1) NY Giants (+3) at Dallas Odds
This is the Monday Night
Football game on ESPN. Each of these games in
the NFC East is like its own little “mini-drama”.
That is because all four of the teams are so close
in ability, and there are so many good story lines.
Each team also believes they are the best in the
division.
This game features
two 3-2 teams that are one game back of Philadelphia
in the division standings. The Giants are playing
their fourth really hard road game of the year,
and they have already beaten Philadelphia and
Atlanta. Dallas has won their two home games over
Washington and Houston by an average margin of
22.5 points. Week
7 NFL Point Spread Dallas (-3)
