 Odds to win the
Super Bowl are in parenthesis. 1) Chicago Bears, 5-0
(15:4) Chicago takes over the top
spot with tremendous play on both sides of the
                                ball. 2) Indianapolis Colts,
5-0 (7:1) The Colts must improve their
run defense which is the second worst in the NFL. 3) New England Patriots,
4-1 (10:1) The Patriots will use the
bye-week to figure out how to solve their passing
                                woes. 4) Philadelphia Eagles,
4-1 (18:1) The Eagles have to avoid
a letdown this week after an emotional win over
                                Dallas. 5) San Diego Chargers,
3-1 (12:1) The Chargers Sunday night
win over Pittsburgh puts them in an elite category. 6) Cincinnati Bengals,
3-1 (8:1) The Bengals had two weeks
to stew over their 38-13 home loss to New England. 7) Seattle Seahawks,
3-1 (10:1) A battle with St. Louis this
week is an early showdown in the NFC West. 8) Denver Broncos, 3-1
(16:1) Denver has won three straight
after an opening game loss to St. Louis. 9) Baltimore Ravens,
4-1 (14:1) The Ravens defense is still
top notch, but the offense is coming in spurts. 10) Atlanta Falcons,
3-1 (25:1) The Falcons look like a lot
healthier team coming out of the bye-week. 11) Carolina Panthers,
3-2 (10:1) Three straight wins has Carolina
rising up the power rankings list. 12) Jacksonville Jaguars,
                                3-2 (20:1) A road win would go a long
way in establishing this team’s legitimacy. 13) Dallas Cowboys, 2-2
(20:1) Drew Bledsoe needs to stop
throwing key interceptions, or stop playing. 14) New Orleans Saints,
4-1 (35:1) Philadelphia at home this
week is another big test for this rising team. 15) St. Louis Rams, 4-1
(50:1) A win against Seattle this
week would send a huge message to the rest of
the NFL. 16) New York Giants,
2-2 (25:1) The Giants’ four opponents
so far this year have a combined record of 14-5. 17) Pittsburgh Steelers,
1-3 (50:1) Pittsburgh still has the
talent, but you can’t argue with a 1-3 record. 18) Minnesota Vikings,
3-2 (60:1) A close home win over Detroit
doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence in this
                                team. 19) Washington Redskins,
2-3 (60:1) The Redskins are one of the
streakiest teams in the NFL this year. 20) Kansas City Chiefs,
2-2 (60:1) The Chiefs have quietly rebounded
from a disappointing 0-2 start. 21) New York Jets, 2-3
(300:1) The Jets are another team
that can’t run the ball or stop the run. 22) Buffalo Bills, 2-3
(300:1) The Bills blowout loss at
Chicago was their worst game of the year, by far. 23) Arizona Cardinals,
1-4 (400:1) Matt Leinart at quarterback
at least gives the team hope for the future. 24) San Francisco 49ers,
2-3 (600:1) Quarterback, Alex Smith continues
to improve by leaps and bounds. 25) Green Bay Packers,
1-4 (N/A) Wonder when the Brett Favre
retirement rumors will start up again. 26) Miami Dolphins, 1-4
                                (300:1) Joey Harrington will start
at quarterback against the Jets this week. 27) Tampa Bay Buccaneers,
                                0-4 (N/A) Quarterback, Bruce Gradkowski
had a nice starting debut against the Saints. 28) Cleveland Browns,
1-4 (N/A) Cleveland will enjoy their
bye week, but not their record heading into it. 29) Houston Texans, 1-3
(600:1) Houston has only played one
game on the road so far this season. 30) Tennessee Titans,
0-5 (N/A) Tennessee almost won at Indianapolis.
That should count for something. 31) Detroit Lions, 0-5
(N/A) Detroit almost won at Minnesota.
That should count for not that much. 32) Oakland Raiders,
                                0-4 (N/A) There aren’t enough
bad things you can say about this team right now. For
