 5) Chicago (-10.5) at Arizona
Odds Chicago is the only 5-0 team
in the league with the exception of Indianapolis.
But while the Colts have struggled the last couple
of weeks, Chicago is just mowing down their opponents.
The Bears finally have an offense that is almost
as good as their defense. That is a lethal combination. Arizona is 1-4 on the year,
but they feel like they have a new lease on life.
That is because rookie quarterback, Matt Leinart
is now the starter over Kurt Warner. In Leinart’s
first game, he was 22-35 for 253 yards against
Kansas City in a 23-20 loss. We will see if he
can approach those numbers against an elite defense.
                                Week 6 NFL Point
Spread Cardinals (+10.5) 4) NY Giants (+3) at Atlanta
Odds The Giants are 2-2 on the
season after a 19-3 win over Washington. New York
held quarterback, Mark Brunell to just 109 yards
passing in that game, and out-gained the Redskins
411 to 164 in total yards. Now, they have to head
back on the road after already having tough away
games at Seattle and Philadelphia. Atlanta is 3-1 and
coming off the bye-week, but they have established
themselves as one of the better teams in the NFC.
Michael Vick has a quarterback rating of just
under 70, but he is on pace to rush for over 1,300
yards. The defense has been banged up with injuries,
but it is still ranked second in the NFC conference.

Spread Falcons (-3) 3) Philadelphia (-3.5) at New
                                Orleans Odds Philadelphia (4-1) comes
into this game a little mentally drained after
                                last week’s “T.O. Bowl”. The
Eagles won the hard fought game against Dallas,
38-24 which was a relief for quarterback Donovan
McNabb and Coach Andy Reid. They will have to
get their energy back quickly against a very solid
Saints team. The Saints are 4-1
on the season after a 24-21 comeback win over
Tampa Bay. That improved the Saints home record
to 2-0, and the Superdome is quickly becoming
a venue that opposing teams want no part of. If
New Orleans continues this march towards the playoffs,
it will be one of the greatest stories in NFL
                                History. Week
6 NFL Point Spread Ravens (+2.5) 2) Seattle (-3) at St. Louis
Odds This is an early battle between
two NFC West teams, each with just one loss. Seattle
is 3-1 and coming off a bye-week. Their running
game is not the same without Shaun Alexander,
and he is unlikely to play this week. The Seahawks
are still stinging from their 37-6 blowout loss
at Chicago on Sunday Night Football. St. Louis is one of
the surprise teams in the NFL at 4-1. Their critics
will point out that their last three wins were
against Arizona, Detroit and Green Bay. Those
teams have a combined record of just 2-13. This
is their opportunity to show they are a real contender
                                for the division title. Week
6 NFL Point Spread Rams (+3) 1) Carolina (NL) at Baltimore
                                Odds Carolina must be exhausted,
and it is only the 6th week of the season. The
Panthers started out the year as one of the two
Super Bowl favorites in the NFC. They then lost
their first two games as they were without receiver,
Steve Smith. Now, they have won three straight,
and a win here could make them Bowl favorites
once again. Baltimore is 4-1 after
a 13-3 loss to Denver on Monday Night Football.
The Ravens are a very tough team to play at home
because their defense is so dominant, and they
feed off the emotion of the home crowd. This looks
like a great defensive battle, and whichever team
performs better in the red zone should win.
