PLAYERS TO START - WEEK 6 CHEATSHEETS Chad
Pennington, QB, NY Jets
Pennington had a horrible
game last week at Jacksonville with 71 yards passing
and three interceptions. This week, he returns
home against Miami. While the Dolphins are a good
defensive team, Pennington has been very good
at home this year. Look for him to rebound this
week.
Reggie Bush, RB, New
Orleans
Bush has been a running,
receiving, and return threat in his rookie campaign.
His numbers break down to only 34 yards rushing
per game, but he adds another 50 in the passing
game. This week should be a high scoring affair
against Philadelphia, and Bush should be over
100 total yards, not including special teams.
Deion Branch, WR, Seattle
Branch is the much celebrated
receiver acquired from New England for a 2007
first round pick. So far, he has 80 total receiving
yards in his first two games. This week should
be Branch’s best week, as he had time to
learn more of the offense during the bye-week,
and receiver Bobby Engram is banged up and could
be out.
Randy McMichael, TE,
Miami
McMichael struggled the first
three weeks of the year when quarterback Daunte
Culpepper looked like he couldn’t start
for a high school team. Two weeks ago, McMichael
had 54 receiving yards against Houston. Last week
with Joey Harrington at the helm, he had 84. Look
for more of that this week against the Jets.
Players to Bench - Week 6 CHEATSHEETS
J.P. Losman, QB, Buffalo
A lot of fantasy football
sites are recommending starting Losman this week
at Detroit. Most of the reason is due to the Lions’
pass defense which is ranked 30th in the NFL.
Losman has had some good games this year, but
he has struggled for the most part on the road.
There is likely a better alternative on your roster.
Travis Henry, RB, Tennessee
Henry has taken over the
featured back role for Tennessee, and he rewarded
the Titans by rushing for 123 yards on 19 carries
last week at Indianapolis. Despite that solid
effort by Henry, rookie LenDale White is likely
to get double digit carries, and neither player
will have much running room at Washington on Sunday.
Bryant Johnson, WR, Arizona
Johnson should step into
the starting line-up this week with Larry Fitzgerald
sidelined with a hamstring injury. Johnson has
been one of the best third receivers in the league,
but he will be going against the Bears’
defense, and the Cardinals still have a rookie
quarterback in Matt Leinart. Bench Johnson.
Alex Smith, TE, Tampa
Bay
Smith is a promising second
year tight end, who is putting up similar numbers
to his rookie year. Smith is on pace for 400 receiving
yards, but he has had more than 18 receiving yards
in only one game. With rookie quarterback Bruce
Gradkowski starting, and the team focusing on
the running game this week against Cincinnati,
bench Smith.
