Indianapolis
kicker Adam Vinatieri (groin), wide receiver Brandon
Stokley (ankle), and defensive tackle Corey Simon
(knee), are all questionable as well. The Colts
are favored by seven points.
Philadelphia’s Jevon
Kearse is out for the year with a knee injury.
That hurts their pass rush, but at least the Eagles
have good depth at that position. Cornerback is
where they are really hurting with Lito Sheppard
doubtful with an ankle injury, and Roderick Hood
doubtful with a heel injury. The Eagles are six
point favorites at San Francisco.
Atlanta’s John Abraham
is questionable to play with a groin injury, he
missed last week’s game against Tampa Bay
although it did not seem to affect the team too
much. His presence would certainly help the pass
rush against the Saints on Monday Night Football.
Other Falcons’ news
is that middle linebacker, Ed Hartwell is again
questionable after missing the first two weeks
with a knee injury. Wide receiver, Roddy White
has bruised ribs, and he is questionable. The
Falcons are currently 3.5 point favorites at New
Orleans.
Buffalo’s Takeo Spikes
is questionable this week against the Jets with
a hamstring injury. Keith Ellison filled in very
admirably for him against Miami, and the defense
did not miss a beat. Buffalo is favored by 5.5
points over New York.
Carolina’s injuries
keep piling up, the injury report lists linebacker
Dan Morgan (out – concussion), receiver
Steve Smith (questionable – hamstring),
receiver Drew Carter (questionable - finger),
cornerback Ken Lucas (questionable – neck),
and safety Shaun Williams (doubtful – foot).
The Panthers are favored by three points at Tampa
Bay.
Cincinnati lost linebacker
David Pollack for the year, but receiver Chad
Johnson will play against Pittsburgh despite suffering
a concussion. Receiver, T.J. Houshmandzadeh has
not played this year with a heel injury, and he
is questionable again this week. The Bengals are
1.5 point underdogs at Pittsburgh.
Cleveland cornerback Daylon
McCutcheon is out for the year with a knee injury.
Now, cornerback Gary Baxter is doubtful with a
pectoral muscle injury. That would be a big blow
to the secondary. Running back, Reuben Droughns
is also questionable with a shoulder injury. The
Browns are 6.5 point underdogs at home to Baltimore.
Denver wide receiver, Rod
Smith has a concussion, but he is probable to
play Sunday night at New England. The Broncos
are 6.5 point underdogs.
Finally, Redskins running
back, Clinton Portis is probable this week against
Houston despite his bothersome shoulder. Washington
is favored by four points at Houston.
