NFL
fantasy football Injuries - November 17, 2006
by: VIP.com
Sports Edge details the most
important injuries for NFL Week Eleven. The Seattle
Seahawks are 6-3 on the season and have done a
good job keeping the team afloat without injured
quarterback, Matt Hasselbeck and running back
Shaun Alexander.
Both players are listed as
questionable this week at San Francisco, and they
both should see at least some action on the field.
This game currently has a line of Seattle -3.5
points.
Another quarterback making
headlines is Kansas City’s Trent Green.
Green moves back into the starting lineup this
week against Oakland even though he has been out
since Week 1 with a concussion. The Chiefs are
9.5 point favorites over visiting Oakland.
Atlanta heads into Baltimore
as four point underdogs, and they are hurting
on the defensive side of the ball. Defensive ends,
John Abraham and Patrick Kerney are already out.
Defensive tackles, Rod Coleman and Grady Jackson
are both questionable, but expect them to play.
For Baltimore, Ray Lewis
missed last week’s game against Tennessee,
and the latest is that he is unlikely to play
because of his injured back.
Buffalo running back, Willis
McGahee is out against Houston this week with
his broken ribs. Texans’ quarterback, David
Carr is listed as questionable with a shoulder
injury, but he should play. The Texans are 2.5
point home favorites.
Dallas hosts Indianapolis
and is a one point underdog. The Cowboys expect
Terry Glenn back in the line-up after missing
last week with a knee injury. The Colts have 12
players listed as questionable, as they have taken
a page from the Patriots’ playbook. The
biggest name is safety Bob Sanders who now looks
less than 50-50.
Jacksonville quarterback,
Byron Leftwich is listed as questionable this
week with an ankle injury. Even if he was completely
healthy though, the Jaguars would likely still
go with David Garrard.
The Jaguars’ opponent
this week is the New York Giants. The Giants are
missing three of their defensive ends (Michael
Strahan, Justin Tuck and Osi Umenyiora). Cornerback,
Sam Madison is also doubtful, and linebackers
Carlos Emmons and Brandon Short are questionable.
That is a big reason
why the Jaguars are 3.5 point favorites at home
on Monday Night Football.
