is questionable for Monday night’s game against
Minnesota. Even if he does suit up, his shoulder
will be less than 100%.
Carolina wide
receiver, Steve
Smith has hurt his hamstring, and not the
one that was injured earlier this pre-season.
Smith may miss the opener against Atlanta. That
has helped drop Carolina to being favored by five
points, it was six.
Patriots’ linebacker
Tedy Bruschi
is questionable to play against Buffalo with a
broken wrist. Running back, Laurence Maroney has
an undisclosed leg injury, but indications are
that he will play.
Chargers Linebacker, Steve
Foley was shot by an off duty policeman
over the weekend and placed on the injured reserve.
Foley is a very good and underrated player, and
this loss is a blow to the Chargers’ defense.
Kicker Adam
Vinatieri has an injured ankle on his non-kicking
leg, but he says he will be ready to go against
the Giants. With the Colts favored by 3.5 points,
this game could come down to Vinatieri’s
foot.
Vinatieri’s teammate,
Brandon Stokley
has been battling ankle and foot problems, and
he is listed as questionable for the Giants’
game.
Dallas kicker, Mike
Vanderjagt has an injured groin, and he
is questionable on the injury report for Jacksonville.
Vanderjagt has been very inconsistent in the pre-season,
and if he keeps missing kicks in the regular season,
Coach Bill Parcels may put the hurt on him in
other places too.
Jacksonville linebacker,
Mike Peterson
is battling a knee injury. He is questionable
versus Dallas, and he will be less than 100% if
he plays. Still, the Jaguars need him in what
look to be a close game.
