peak at some of the top NFL games in Week One.

here for all NFL odds Miami at Pittsburgh This game kicks off the
NFL season on Thursday, September 7th. It is
also a battle of the banged up quarterbacks
with Daunte Culpepper recovering from an ACL
injury and Ben Roethlisberger from his motorcycle
                                  crash. The crowd will certainly
be into this game as they get to see their team
for the first time since they won the Super
Bowl. It also marks the post Jerome Bettis era,
and it will be strange not to see his big body
in the backfield. For Miami, Coach Nick Saban
has big expectations in his second year with
the team as he is expected to compete with New
England in AFC East. Indianapolis at NY
Giants The battle of the Manning
                                  brothers has Indianapolis’ Peyton against
New York’s Eli. This is the first time
that the two have faced each other as opposing
quarterbacks except for pickup games in the
backyard. Gee, do you think this game was hand
picked for NBC’s first broadcast of Sunday
Night Football? Each of these teams has
faced turmoil in the off-season. The Colts lost
running back Edgerrin James after bowing out
in the divisional round of the playoffs against
                                  Pittsburgh. The Giants’ Michael Strahan
is in the middle of a messy and public divorce
than gets more time on New York’s back
pages than the team itself. Dallas at Jacksonville This is the second consecutive
tough opening road game for Dallas. Last year,
they went into San Diego and came away with
a 28-24 win. Granted, the Chargers were playing
without tight end Antonio Gates, but it was
still an impressive win. Coach Bill Parcells
starts his quest to bring his third NFL team
to a Super Bowl appearance. Jacksonville very quietly
went 12-4 last year and 6-2 at home. Their home
losses came against two of the AFC’s best
in Indianapolis and Denver. Jacksonville has
Super Bowl aspirations just like the Cowboys
and they can not afford to lose a home game
this early in the season. Seattle at Detroit There may be better games
on the schedule left including Atlanta at Carolina,
but this contest also has a lot of intrigue.
Detroit starts the Mike Martz era, and even
though he is just the offensive coordinator,
his ability to lead that side of the ball will
go along way in determining whether Detroit
can surprise this year. The Seahawks would be
a great win to start things off. Seattle is trying
to break the jinx that the last five teams who
lost the Super Bowl didn’t even make the
playoffs the following year. Considering that
Seattle plays in a division with St. Louis,
San Francisco and Arizona, it is hard to imagine
that happening again in 2006. Posted by miker at July
