here for latest NFL Props The NFL is in its “off-season”,
but there is plenty going on with free agency
and the draft coming up in less than eight weeks.
VIPsports.com also has some NFL action, predicting
which free agent running back will be the last
to sign. The participating players and the current
                                  odds are listed below. NFL
Props On Shaun Alexander 5:2 Alexander was the NFL’s
MVP last season as he rushed for 1,880 yards
on his way to leading Seattle to the Super Bowl.
That means he has to be re-signed by the Seahawks,
right? Not necessarily. Alexander will likely
be asking for more cash than any other free
agent running back, and Seattle has already
spent big money on quarterback Matt Hasselbeck
and offensive tackle Walter Jones in prior years. They also just put the transition
tag on guard, Steve Hutchinson. If Seattle doesn’t
pony up the big dollars, Alexander may not find
any suitors willing to pay his asking price. NFL
Props On Ahman Green 3:1 Green played the last six years
in Green Bay and peaked in 2003 with almost
1,900 yards rushing. In 2004, he dropped back
down to 1,163 yards, and last year only played
in five games due to a serious quad injury.
That injury, combined with declining production
and a history of fumbling the football, limits
Green’s opportunity to make huge money. Green may have to accept an incentive
laden contract, or even take a backup job somewhere. NFL
Props On Edgerrin James 7:2 Colts’ president, Bill
Polian believes there is a 50-50 chance that
James will return to Indianapolis. Actions speak
louder than words though, and the Colts have
already spent big money this off-season on receiver
Reggie Wayne, and also signed defensive tackle,
Raheem Brock. James is also represented by agent
Drew Rosenhaus, which means that he will always
command top dollar. The Arizona Cardinals have already
said they are not interested in an expensive
free agent back, so there may not be that many
high priced options out there for James. NFL
Props On Michael Bennett 4:1 Bennett is a speedster who has
spent all of his five seasons with Minnesota.
Bennett’s big problem is staying healthy,
as he hasn’t started more than seven games
in any of the last three seasons. Bennett will
not be returning to the Vikings, but he should
find a number of teams willing to gamble on
him if he will take an incentive laden deal. NFL
Props On Jamal Lewis 9:2 Lewis has spent the first five
years of his career with Baltimore, gaining
over 2,000 yards in 2003. The last two years
though, he has averaged 950 yards. The Ravens
seem more concerned with re-signing Chester
Taylor than Lewis, meaning that Lewis will likely
go elsewhere. Lewis’ salary demands will
be far less than Alexander and James, so he
might sign quicker. Posted by Mike R at March
