is in store for them this season.

Eric Mangini - New
York Jets
The Jets are 12:1 to win
the AFC East, 75:1 to win the Super Bowl, and
have an Over / Under win total of 6.5 games.
The 35 year-old Mangini
is the second youngest coach in NFL history.
Mangini is a Bill Belichick disciple, but only
has one year of experience as a defensive coordinator
so he is very green. A healthy Chad Pennington
would go a long way for the Jets’ chances
of rebounding this year, but it looks to be
a long season.
Dick Jauron - Buffalo
Bills
Buffalo is 14:1 to win
the AFC East, 75:1 to win the Super Bowl, and
has an Over / Under win total of 7 games.
Jauron spent six years
as the head coach for Chicago and amassed a
35-45 record. He was the Lions’ interim
coach last year and went 1-4. Jauron is a defensive
minded coach, and that is where most of the
talent lies in Buffalo. Offensively, the team
already has a quarterback controversy and is
a major work in progress.
Gary Kubiak - Houston
Texans
Houston is 15:1 to win
the AFC South, 100:1 to win the Super Bowl,
and has an Over / Under win total of 5.5 games.
Kubiak was the much sought
after offensive coordinator with Denver who
learned a lot under Coach Mike Shanahan. Now,
he must retool an offense that has good skill
position players, but no offensive line. Defensively,
it will be a challenge for the team this year
as they switch over to the 4-3 defense.
Herm Edwards - Kansas
City Chiefs
Kansas City is 2:1 to win
the AFC West, 35:1 to win the Super Bowl, and
has an Over / Under win total of 9.5 games.
Edwards comes over from
the New York Jets where he was 39-41 in five
seasons. Out of all the new coaches in the AFC,
Edwards inherits by far the best team. That
of course was due to the retirement of Dick
Vermeil. If Edwards can help fix the defense,
this is a team that can compete in the AFC West
and even the conference.
Art Shell - Oakland
Raiders
Oakland is 14:1 to win
the AFC West, 45:1 to win the Super Bowl, and
has an Over / Under win total of 6.5 games.
Shell is the former coach
of the Raiders from 1989-1994. In those six
years, he had a 54-38 record, making it incredible
that it took him so long to get another head
coaching job. Shell has his work cut for him
in Oakland, but he understands Al Davis, and
this team has at least a chance to play .500
ball this year.
