Coming on the heels of
unveiling its newest racing software and announcing
its exclusive partnership with the Brother Derek

reported today a 100% year-over-year growth
in the volume of wagers it received for this
year's Kentucky Derby.

The record 163,628 fans
who showed up at Churchill Downs not only witnessed
a full field of 20 horses chase the first jewel
of horse racing's Triple Crown, they got a close

The first of a number of

in Louisville, Ky., was at a joint news conference
where Ayre made a donation to a charity named
by Brother Derek's trainer, Dan Hendricks. The
$25,000 check went to the California Thoroughbred
Horsemen's Fund just days after Bodog.com had
announced the exclusive partnership agreement
with the Brother Derek racing team for the Kentucky
Derby.
For the tens of thousands
of Derby spectators who made their way to the
track, it would have been hard to miss the large
Bodog.com tent where Hendricks and Ayre fielded
questions from media and met a venue full of
celebrities and Derby-goers.
"We set out to magnify
our presence at this year's Derby with a host
of events for the thousands of spectators to
enjoy, and I am happy to say that we met this
objective," said Ayre, who was recently
featured on the cover of Forbes "Billionaires"
issue. "I want to thank Dan Hendricks,
Alex Solis and the rest of the Brother Derek
racing team, each of whom played no small part
in ensuring an entertaining weekend."
Bodog.com's introduction
of its enhanced online horse racing software,
which pays full track odds rather than artificial
caps imposed by many internet racing sites (such
as 300/1 for exotic wagers) came just in time
for one lucky Bodog.com bettor who raked in
$29,919.50 for her $1 Superfecta bet.
